I believe that I have finally found an authentic game used helmet. Now I am trying to place the player that used the helmet. Alfred Blue wears this same helmet, so I'm thinking possibly him. Also, what is a fare price to pay on this helmet if it is the real deal? I want to be sure before I throw some bills into it.

Thanks,

It could be real. I know they put the white safety sticker on when they sell it. The one's at the gift shop usually go around $300.

The guys started at $450 for the helmet and $300 for a Michael Clayton Practice Jersey, but will sell both to me for $450. Sounds like a good deal?

So he was gonna sell you just a helmet for $450 and a jersey for $300. Now you get both for $450. Yea man totally sounds legit.

Can't imagine why you'd spend that kind of paper on a practice jersey. We talking bout practice.....

If it was from an individual I may not trust the deal as much, but the items are coming from a sports memorabilia store that has been around for a long time, and who's reputation guarantees that these items are legit. He has had the jersey for a while and was willing to drop the numbers to make a sale. It also helped that I am buying 2 items.

I guess the value is more in who used the jersey then the jersey itself?

I would do some research on the place, ask around as much as you can.

This is true...but why just a simple white practice jersey. You can go and get a jersey for $150 by Mike's cage that has the sec patch and looks a lot nicer than a simple white practive jersey.

The helmet looks like a legit gamer, but if the facemask doesn't match what Blue wore then that's a big red flag. Not necessarily the seller trying to pull one over on anybody but the equipment room may have just switched the number on the back before giving it to the gift shop. Also, you can see an XL size sticker in the second pic, I doubt a smaller guy like Blue would wear an XL.

Maybe it's a JC Copeland helmet missing the other 4 on the left side? Helmet style and facemask match, plus he's a bigger guy.

looks legit. The LSU decal is definitely real. All LSU letters and the tiger are one sticker. also it has a ridell strap so that is another sign of authenticity. Stickers look clean
