I called and went on and on asking questions about "my son" and claiming I wanted to make sure I knew about random rules and talked about an official visit we were going on this weekend.

Then I said, I am having dinner with a booster from the school. My son wont be there, and he will never know, but I want to make sure that if I ask him for money, my son will still be eligible.

She said asking anyone for money is against the rules and a violation of their amatuerism policy.I said what about Cam Newton's dad and then she hung up on me.
They have been pretending to be parents of recruits and ask if they can ask for money.

The number for the compliance office is 317-917-6008

Everyone understands action should have been taken.

Except, Slimely Slive and a few nitwit Auburn homers.
The point is the SEC bylaws were violated by Cecil Newton (Cam's father; his closest family member). The SEC (Slimely Slive) should have taken action (in accordance with SEC bylaws) in the only meaningful way they can. Make the player ineligible to play in all SEC schools.

Auburn's only violation is NOT declaring Cam ineligible immediately when Cecil Newton admitted guilt. Auburn did not due that because Cam might have missed games before he could be reinstated. Auburn making him ineligible and the immediate reinstatement was a sham.

I have to disagree with you concerning Baton Rouge. I have never lived there but have visited more times than you can count.

Of course, to everyone other than lifer's from New Orleans, NOLA is a dump. It is interesting to visit but I would NEVER live there.
I don't know! Cam is a cheating SOB but damn! He is the best QB I have ever seen in my 50+ years. Easily he is the Heisman winner.
DAMN! That kid is good! I hate him for being a cheat... but damn! his is good!

re: Arkansas fans pulling for USCe

I would think it would be justice for Auburn to lose. However, right now the score is 21 / 7 in favor of Auburn (@4:04 CST).

There is almost no defense in this game. I don't see USC pulling out the win.
Sorry, "The Nino". I was not answering a question you posed.

Just, "Why has most fanbases turned on Auburn?"

I would like to cheer for Auburn so Arkansas can go to the sugar bowl.

But there is not enough sugar on the planet to get me to cheer for Auburn.

I have never hated Auburn nor the SEC or NCAA. That has changed because of this Newton travesty.

GO GAMECOCKS!!!!
This is a very easy question.

It's a lack of fairness and values (integrity) on the part of the school and some of the fans.

In my life if someone commits a crime or a rule infraction they deserve what they get. I don't and won't try to insulate them from consequences nor make excuses for them (not mother, father, sister, brother, son, daughter, nor my favorite football team or school).

Fairness and justice must be instilled into you when your a child as a core personal value.

These core values seem to be devoid from Auburn and some of the Auburn fan base.

That is true. Arkansas will be very disappointed if they don't go to the Sugar bowl.
No.

I would vote for Wisconsin for #2 and watch them destroy Oregon in the National Championship Game.

TCU as #2. NO WAY! You cant play high school teams all year and expect to get in the NCG.

I have not seen enough OSU games to point out your weaknesses.

I am sure the Arkansas coaching staff has.

Seriously, Arkansas has an excellent QB and the receiving corps is some of the best in the country. Kniles Davis has provided a good running game.

Keys for OSU:
1) Blitz... Mallet makes mistakes under pressure. If given time you WILL be picked apart. If you can get to Mallet you may win the game. Rush from the outside.
2) Contain Miles Davis. He has come into his own in the last half of the season. Just because the passing game is the big bill, don't underestimate the running game.
3) Watch out for the big plays. Review the LSU/Arkansas game. You will get bit if you can't stop the big plays.
4) Arkansas special teams is a BIG weakness. Key on it.

Note: Petrino tends to throw on 1st down.

Best thing that has worked against the razorbacks this year is run the QB option on offense and for defense know where Kniles Davis is and blitz Mallet. He tends to throw picks under pressure.

Otherwise. Good luck! You will need it!

When someone posts. Flame them if they're stupid not because of their gender.

And yes, my momma was a woman, my wife and daughter are women. So at some point picking at women because they are female gets petty and irritating.

Come on! Guys... Every chick poster I have seen on this board has been greeted with.

Please post pics and crude shite.

I am as big a male chauvinist pig (pardon the pun) as the rest of you but PLEASE.

DON'T swarm the chicks with stupid stuff and let 'em post their comments.
I still can not get over the Mississippi State / Arkansas game. My son and I were watching the game together and he had to leave and watch it upstairs. I could not stop screaming at the TV for the Arkansas defense to stop the MSU offense from POUNDING it up the middle.

Dang it! Everyone watching the game knew what the next MSU play was going to be but the Arky defense wouldn't or couldn't stop it!

That being said.

Couch Mullen knew his teams strengths and the opponents weaknesses. MSU probably should have won the game. It will be sad for MSU if he leaves.
And AUBURN fans say others are delusional!

HELLO!
Does anyone... OTHER THAN AUBURN FANS actually believe that Cecil Newton and his puppet son deserves to still be eligible after he was shopped to MSU for $180,000 (the FACT that he was shopped for cash is NOT in dispute)?

SERIOUSLY! Do you not believe SCAM knew absolutely nothing about the request for money ("The money was too good")? That even though Scam (A.K.A. Cam) absolutely loved MSU he went to Auburn without asking WHY?
I have not seen many MSU games this year.

But I can tell you Mullen had a good game plan against Arkansas. I hated that there had to be a loser in that game. And while I am giving respect to Mississippi State, the MSU offensive line front four are excellent. They made the hogs defense look silly. I think Mullen is a very good couch.

re: Refs handed Auburn game against Hogs

"Slimy Slive" and his stooges (A.K.A. SEC refs).

When the football hit the wires at War Memorial stadium during the Arkansas/LSU game there was no intentional bias for or against either team. Arkansas could have hit the wires under similar circumstances. The wires could not have intentionally sabotaged LSU in the game.

When referees make obvious bad calls (even after reviewing video from multiple camera angles and having the opportunity to reverse the call on the field), it injects a bias (a deviation from randomness) into the game. We will never know how the game would have went had the calls been called correctly.

I have never been one who gave much credence to conspiracy's but after the Arkansas/Florida game last year it became almost obvious that the SEC referee's are NOT impartial (at least in some games). Bad calls should be very rare (because of the opportunity to review video evidence and over turn bad calls) and they should be 'random events'. The SEC ref's bad calls do not appear to be very rare nor random.

If it makes any difference... As an Arkansas resident and college football fan, there is no excuse for obnoxious fan behavior (from any fan base). I know (first hand) that both states can produce some crude "redneck" fans.

As for War Memorial Stadium, it is old and sucks to attend. Arkansas fans and the football team love it because Arkansas EXPECTS to win at that stadium. You must bring your "A" game to War Memorial or you WILL come out with a loss.

I wasn't impressed with either team on Saturday. Arkansas' special teams were a JOKE! When your kicker has to make the tackles on the returns, "Twice", you have a big problem. Arkansas won the game with a few ballsy play calls. That is the difference in the game. LSU played flat, plain and simple. There was a drive or two but no long stretches of great play from either team. I was expecting some Madd Hatter plays out of Les Miles, a fake punt... or something. Nothing. It seamed like LSU looked past Arkansas and didn't give the game it's best effort.

For several years, I lived in Louisiana and still cheer for LSU when we are not playing Arkansas.
