Who really cares about the game

I'll take either team here:

How is it that not only is there only one ranked team, but that Tennessee is 15 in the AP poll and 25 in the coaches'? A spread of 10 places? Wow.

re: PAC 10...underrated?

The PAC-10 may be 5-0 in bowl games, but they are not the best conference this season. I thought it might be the Big 12, but I'd have to say it's still the SEC. While the SEC lost one game, the PAC-10 didn't play any SEC teams in bowl games this year. If they had, they wouldn't be 5-0. That's all. Great game USC, but you're still not as good as Florida or even OU.
What a lovely shithole to be in in December. Ice storm tonight. Snow and 0 degrees Saturday for the final. Hopefully they'll bring more events to LA/Miss.
Why do people keep putting USC over Penn State? Is it because they beat Ohio State by 32 at home and the Nittany Lions only beat them by 10 on the road? That shouldn't matter, since USC lost to Oregon State which Penn State crushed. Fortunately, it will be settled in Pasadena unless USC fricks up.

UT/OU split title?

OU barely beats Mizzou and the SEC champ and Texas wins convincingly in their bowl? Then OU finishes #1 in the BCS but #2 to Texas in the AP. Bring it.

Yeah Florida is still amazing, yet somehow they blew it to Ole Miss. I don't get why they are getting 1st place votes. At least Texas and Oklahoma play in a division with 3 other teams that would normally all be BCS eligible. Florida plays Georgia and 10 so-so to crappy teams.

ETA: I don't see how Florida is any more impressive stat-wise than Penn State and USC.
Well then I'll just post mine here:

1. Alabama
2. Texas
3. Oklahoma
4. Florida
5. Utah
6. Penn State
7. USC
8. Boise State
9. Texas Tech
10. Ball State
11. Ohio State
12. Oklahoma State
13. TCU
14. Georgia
15. Cincinnati
16. Missouri
17. Oregon
18. Georgia Tech
19. Boston College
20. Ole Miss
21. Brigham Young
22. Michigan State
23. Pitt
24. Northwestern
25. Iowa

Nah, both upsets, much like Ole Miss over Florida.

I'm actually looking forward to USC-Penn State. USC is 1-0 against the Big Ten and PSU is 1-0 against the Pac-10 so something has to give. Both teams have crushed their opponents 10 times, won a close one against a big opponent once, and lost in an upset.

Deserves to get Boise State over Ohio State. Ohio State lost at home to Penn State, even though they claim they won a co-conference championship and got drilled by USC, both teams will be in the Rose Bowl. Boise State has not lost. And maybe they can do to Texas what they did to Oklahoma 2 years ago.

I just saw this for the first time, it's from the Oregon state game in 2004. Purple uniforms, Golden Girls wearing gold not white. And Doug Planchard.

Everytime I saw Saban I yelled Tiger Bait at the TV. And I also thought it was funny that Justin Vincent said win or lose the fans will stay with you to the end of the game. So much for that. BTW I'm in love with the girl in the student section who wore the purple LSU bikini top. :nana:

Ok, I see they announced it already. I figured the Big 12 lovefest would continue.

ESPN College Gameday next weekend?

Do they go to Norman for OU-TTU or State College for PSU-MSU? Or some place obscure for some long-standing non-BCS, FBS rivalry?

It will be interesting to how far they jump Oregon State up with each win from here on out.

A team that a mediocre Penn State spanked. :spank: Hopefully not too far.

Isn't it after the second FOX NFL game on their postgame show?

I love how you get penalized if you have an off-week (PSU) or you play and destroy Nebraska (OU). Good thing this poll is just a piece of paper and doesn't count for crap. :snoozer:
