re: 38%, 25%, 57%

Quarterman & Blakeney were a combined 3-16 from the field which is below 20%.

Obasohan had 35 points.....11-11 from the line. Defense on him was just awful.

Feel like we can't expect to win when those two things happen....regardless of Simmons poor FT shooting.

Fatigue a factor vs. SC?

LSU had 4 starters that logged well more than 30 minutes while SC had just 1 starter log over 30 minutes.

I feel like fatigue played a big factor in the game.

SC put up a ridiculous 55 points in the second half. We fought hard to keep up with them offensively but just seemed to lack the energy to consistently make stops on defense.

Fatigued players make silly turnovers & miss free throws at the end of games. Clearly we saw plenty of that throughout the last 2 minutes.

Would more bench minutes from LSU have made a difference in this game?

My grandfather also stayed in the stadium dorms for a few months prior to being deployed to Europe.

My grandfather was a freshman at Princeton in 1943 and that same year he enlisted and left for the 99th Infantry division. Sometime between basic training and being deployed to Europe his company stayed in the Tiger Stadium dorms for a few months.

My sister and I both attended LSU and my grandpa would always remind us of the fact that he stayed there in the football stadium with the army during the Second World War.

He was one of the few survivors from his company in the Battle of the Bulge. He luckily survived and I am here today because of it. He died in 2011.

I was doing some research a few years ago and found an unknown WWII veterans personal war story that was published online for a 99th infantry veterans webpage. There is an entire section where this veteran describes his time at LSU prior to being deployed to Europe. Please note that I do not know the person who wrote the story. Just thought people on here might enjoy reading the part about LSU. See link below.

F. King has been great for the university and the state of Louisiana. He is well respected on a national level and has been very effective in his role.

Before you write him off....see article below.
