re: Let Sheppard play...

Most uninformed group of posters probably ever, Shepard can throw the ball and run the ball, go look up his high school highlight tapes on you tube, there's 5 mins of him scrambling for huge gains, and another 5 mins of him throwing precision routes, with passes over 50 yards in the air and short yard plays. To say he is not talented enough to play qb is rediculous, his problems are obviously with the former OC or handling the playbook.

So Matt Mauck under Nick Saban started the number 18 tradition, or did he possess the number from it being a number that no one wants in football, can't wait to hear about peyton manning, but anways Mauck played for SABAN, we are talking about the LES MILES #18 tradition, since the big deal about number 18 being passed down did not come into play until LES MILES made it relevant. For all the haters traffic is only mins away, go play !

I love LSU football just like anyone else, but to make this lame les miles tradition valid in my mind is ridiculous, number #18 oooh big deal hester was at best a subpar FB/RB. Big deal 1,000 yard senior season, if kelliand Williams or Charles Scott had those rushing attempts that season, they out performed him on all runs over 3 yards. Les miles makes 3 bone head coaching decisions, and gets very fortunate against Florida in the "epic game", in 2007. I think it's funny because every LSU fan loved seeing their white knight. Heck they even took out the African American fullback and put in the 2 most untalented players on the team to run the white power I formation.

It takes about this much ( ) common sense to understand that Les Miles is Crowtons boss. Obviously anything that crowton does reflects directly on the person who had the most input on hiring him. Yes this is why Les Miles had to hire a quarterbacks coach because neither he or gary could put a quarterback. Get your argument together then come back, choctaw.
P.S. Choctaw might be the worst part of baton rouge hope you and ole leroy have a good day :(

LSU Football in general.....

Here is my take on the entire situation....
Les Miles is obviously not the type of coach who can A) Mentor or Develop a Quarterback. The last 6 seasons have proven that. IF YOU SAY MATT FLYNN remember that was Saban's recruit. Les Miles lacks the quality that makes someone a great coach; being someone who can coach a player beyond the players natural ability, and demand integrity from his players. B) Les Miles, cannot seem to develop the mind set of what it takes to be dominate in the SEC, in 6 seasons one would think that developing an offense that can execute. Which that is totally coaching, if your players do not possess the tools that they need to play the game someone is obviously not able to give those tools to the players. How hard is it to Line up in either an ACE Formation twin TE set, or even the super secret I formation. It will probably take 5 or 6 losses this season for the athletic department to finally rid us of this malignant tumor of a coach. There is no way you can convince me that 2 4 star recruit quarterbacks are both poo, c'mon who honestly believes that JJ just is terrible, or Jarret Lee is just terrible, what is terrible is hiring a TE coach when both our Quarterbacks at the time have no idea how to run an offense, that the coaches themselves cannot run.
