If you want to go through all of college football history then you get stuff like 1918 Georgia Tech at 62 but that was only over 7 games against "teams" like Camp Gordon, the 11th Calvary, and NC state.

In the modern era I'm not sure and don't feel like looking up other teams, but Oklahoma in 1956 has to be up there at 41.5

466 - 51 over 10 games.
Oklahoma in 2008 with DeMarco Murray and Chris Brown.
How about anyone who schedules Savannah St and Murray St?
#1 Oklahoma vs #5 Florida St last year
If I remember correctly we had a return road game scheduled with TCU and then they joined the conference so we had to schedule another road game on short notice.

Reynolds was kidney, Whaley lower leg
I believe Tannehill and Griffin are the only two to do it in the Stoops/Brown era.
I agree it was a penalty because they hit him high since he was falling down, but it still doesn't look like helmet to helmet to me. It looks to me like they both turn their shoulders into him.

It wasn't helmet to helmet. They both hit him with their shoulders and had he not been falling right as they hit him, they would have hit all shoulder pad. It definitely wasn't dirty.

Considering he's a Clipper, the fact that he made it out of that dunk alive and in one piece is reason enough for Blake to have won it all.... He defied the laws of the universe by doing so.
Fun story... his father was one of my skills coach in club for awhile. That is all. Oh and good for him. We need these kids getting this kind of experience.

No they didn't have a goal. The ball never crossed the line. Do they award baskets in the NBA when you get fouled and it doesn't go in....NO.

You get foul shots, like he got a pk. He missed. Tough shite. Suarez got booked. He missed there semi-final game. ALL RULES WERE FOLLOWED = NO CHEATING. He committed a penalty, the remedy the rules call for was followed. End of story.

Now granted I never watch basketball so I could be wrong, but isn't there a rule about goaltending, and the team is awarded the points automatically? Wouldn't this essentially be the equivalent of goaltending?
It appears he's now a baby daddy per his twitter. Hope he learns to man up for his son's sake.

I think this is an excellent thread. Top notch indeed.
Screamed like a girl, but I'm allowed. Spilled some beer. Dogs got excited. One peed and the other threw up.

I would say they're not very comparable. By the time a shot is taken you pretty much have to already be moving. Meaning it's more than just hand eye coordination. More often the not, you have to make the right guess and have a little luck. I'd say hitting a fastball is a harder skill, but it's more likely to happen than stopping a penalty shot.
The only reason that you perceive soccer folks as "whining and moaning" about the popularity of sport is because many Americans feel the need to trash it. At the end of the day, I think a lot of the hatred comes down to the fact that the sport is so globally popular but we're not one of the top teams and don't house one of the top leagues. Americans don't like being considered second tier.

For a sport that Americans "don't care about" it sure seems to provoke a lot of emotions... good or bad.

Oh and hello everyone.
