The press conference last week had the President of UNC and the Athletic Director. That's a clear signal that the final decision on playing players will not be made by Davis. UNC administration (not Athletic Dept) is taking this very seriously. No one will play unless the academic side of UNC is convinced that that player is clear.

If I remember correctly, Brett Bech was a walk on. He became a retty good receiver for LSU in the early 90's.

After LSU, nobody thought he was good enough to make it the NFL, so he walked on again. Played several years with the Saints.

So walk on and go for your dreams. Make it or not, you'll be happy you tried.
