I'm sure Catholic will take some players, haven't heard specifics on any yet though. That will have an impact on things next year, I'm sure. We will stay tuned.
Bear Tiger, here is some info on the top 7th grade teams this year from what i've seen, so you can get a jump on next year's 8th grade rankings....again, this is from what I have seen. I'm mostly a H.S. and college BBALL fan, but watched a lot of CSAL games and really enjoyed it.

1-Sacred Heart--this group has never lost..
2-St Thomas Moore--huge, deep, and athletic
3-St George--solid, well coached...also big and deep.
The next 4 or 5 are close, and have beaten each other....I'd say St Aloy, MBS, Holy Ghost, OLOM and St Jude

St. Aloy-always a tough match, not dominate, but you gotta work to beat them.
MBS-Outstanding guard play, quick and aggressive.
Holy Ghost-Starters can play with anyone, real
depth issues, huge drop-off after 5, no bench.
OLOM-depends on outside shooting, when it's on, they can light it up.
St. Jude-inconsistent, showed signs of being able to put it all together, but got handled by some teams above as well.
I heard they (STM 6th graders) were outstanding, how did the 7th and 8th graders do? STM vs. St. George?
Saw some good basketball last night at St Jude. The St. Jude 8th graders are as good as I've seen. Have a nephew on the 6th grade team so I watch them a lot. Not sure where the other team was from...the northshore I think, Holy Ghost, but they have a REALLY good 7th grade team. They took apart St Jude's 7th graders and pulled most of their starters in the 2nd half. Watch out for those guys next year.
