re: JJ running the ball

Exactly, if we are going let the QB run so much, put someone back there who can run.

JJ running the ball

Why in the world do we call plays for JJ to run the ball? He is not one of the best 5 playmakers on the field at any one time, so why is he running so much? I can understand when the play breaks down, but designed plays should not go to him. Do you think Crowton wants him to get hurt so he can justify putting Lee in?

Short drags across the middle

How often are we going to throw 4 yard passes across the middle on third and 7? You can almost bank on us throwing a drag pass across the middle that is going to go for half of what we need for a first down. Why do we even have anyone running that route?
Miles reminds me of ex-Ravens coach Brian Billick. He has made a decision and he is too arrogant to think that he could possible be wrong.
Sounds to me like he is confusing football with his home life. Maybe he is preoccupied in the game and worried that he will get to bed too late!!

This is an issue that I have been wrestling with for over a year. I never want my Tigers to do badly, and a 5 win year could be devastating for recruiting for years to come. My wish is for the Tigers to do well despite Miles and either have the powers that be realize how ultimately stupid he is, or for him to finally learn the game and make better decisions.

Like someone else said, I fear the worst and that is hovering in the Charlie Mac years of 2-4 losses each year and becoming another Wisconsin (a nice team but never top rate). :geauxtigers:

Actually, if you look at our record and who we beat, we are slowly moving down the hill as we get further away from Saban's recruits and players that Saban coached. I can't stand Saban, but the guy can coach and IS a big time coach. Miles is a middle of the road guy and always will be. Last year it took a miracle to beat Mississippi State and Georgia, games we should have lost. Forget the average of 10 wins a season, unless we can play 14-15 games, we may never see another 10 win season with Miles as coach.

I hate to say it, but it is looking like LSU will rise to mediocrity as long as Miles is the coach. It is not his fault, he is just not that bright and he is not a big time college coach. We will eventually end up like the the Charlie Mac teams of old or like Wisconsin of today. A nice team that gets a big win every once in awhile, makes some noise for part of the season, but eventually ends up with 3-4 losses every year and ranked 15th at the end of the season.
