When did you play it? I've been a member at LCCC for the past 5 years. It's in unbelievable shape and there is never a wait. 3 to 3.5 hour rounds are common unless it's a big 4-ball tourney.
Grew up down the road, lived in BR after graduating LSU and moved to LC in 2010. Definitely stay near the casinos....Wingate, Springhill Suites or Hampton Inn on Prien Lake Road. Plenty of good restaurants at the casinos. Local eats good too....Darrells, Luna, Tia Juanitas, Harlequin, Mazens, Tonys, Nina P's, Steamboat Bills. Golf at LC Country Club, Gray Plantation or Golden Nugget.
Little stuff here. Looked worse on the radar in Sulphur though.

I worked there for 3 years while at LSU. Lots of memories. Still go play it when I'm in BR.

I haven't seen any media updates on this but have heard from numerous buddies that this is the last weekend. Course will be closed starting March 1. I will surely miss that place.
The long time golf pro, Mike Johnson, is retiring and his last day is this Sunday. Sooooo, maybe the closing is a BAD rumor, at least I hope it is.

We have triggers that bring suspicious voting to our attention and we are able to look into multiple analytic platforms that allow us to match up votes to page views and impressions. We want to run as fair of a competition as possible and will continue to monitor all situations to ensure that this is a quality contest.
