re: Is Brad Davis the problem?

Posted by doomsday on 9/7/25 at 3:05 pm to
Coach O fired his O line coach for recruiting violations in the summer of 2021. We needed an O line coach quickly so we went out and overpaid Davis 880K a year for 3 years.

When O was fired they forced Kelly to keep Davis in order not to have to eat another 1.7 mil buyout.
Had that happen to me on new construction. The intellectually challenged installer wired the strips backwards - was only getting 10kw heat from a 15 kw machine.
Same for the cruise control - you can override the radar cruise and use the conventional cruise (like the old days) with a couple button presses.

I never use radar cruise, always in conventional cruise mode.
I have/had the same situation but have a reverse take - the only thing "blocking" air flow/temperature into my attic on my patio is the vinyl siding ceiling. In my opinion, that is a free pass for hot air in the summer and cold air in the winter to infiltrate my entire attic space.

Given that I have HVAC ductwork running only a couple of feet away from the vinyl ceiling, I chose to insulate it myself.

Does it make any difference on my patio?....probably not..Does it make any difference on my summer HVAC ductwork.....maybe.....Does it make any difference on my HVAC ductwork in the winter.....definitely.

Have had it happen 3 times in 2 different vehicles- 2 were bad spark plugs and the other was bad spark plug wire.

Spark plugs threw a CEL, wire did not.

2022 and 2023’s currently have a .5% engine failure rate due to oil starvation from improper block cleaning. Average failure mileage is around 28K so a lot of trucks still have a ways to go.

Problem was corrected after March 2023 so the 24’s are good to go from that respect.

Still holding my breath on my 2022.

Lots of 2022 and 2023 Tundras having their short blocks replaced due to engine failure. 2024's are fine.
Look for CAPA certified - that is Oem equivalent and insurance approved.

Can you change the thermostat to emergency heat? It shuts down the outside unit and turns on the heat strips in the air handler.

Can't argue with anything that you're saying but your main point of contention seems to be LSU' loyalty to its long time season ticket holders. As we both know, there is no loyalty anymore, companies and corporations destroyed that back in the 80's. You have to look out for No.1.

I've been going to the games since 1979. The LSU season ticket holders' loyalty was based on tenure - the people who had tickets the longest got the best seats and access to road tickets...not a bad system right?....rewarded your loyalty.

Skip Bertman as AD came in and slapped seat licenses on the tickets and you were told to pay up and if not, you could relocate or give up your tickets. Your loyalty and tenure became worthless. It was lousy, a lot of long termers gave up their tickets and got priced out of the stadium. Did LSU suffer? Of course not, they made more money and resold the tickets, just like they will with those who opt out this week.

Don't opt out from something that you enjoy just to get back at LSU because their bureaucrats do not care. If you care about the teams and student athletes and truly enjoy the product on the field, then consider the decision to continue supporting them, as they are controlled by the same bureaucracy as you and I.

Not taking any side here, but LSU had 45-50,000 season ticket holders opt out last year that got full refunds with no ramifications. The Athletic Budget shortfall was somewhere between 60-80 million dollars due to Covid.

I don't think LSU was willing to do another full refund policy after last year and hold peoples' place in line.

Season ticket renewals were down 4,000 compared to 2019. TBH, when I renewed my tickets, I could have relocated just about anywhere in the stadium so I don't think the folks who lose their place in line will have trouble getting back in, it just may be a better seat or it may be a worse seat.

The vaccination policy may last a game, a month, or the whole season. Folks just need to do what's best for them.
I was hesitant but wound up doing it at Schwab....easiest money you'll ever make for doing nothing. Wish I had done it sooner.

Shares were loaned out to short sellers.

re: Check Engine Light after Filling-Up

Chevy's are notorious for the gas tank vent solenoids or tank purge valves going out, especially the trucks. If you have a hard time filling up with the pump continuously clicking off, it's usually one of those 2 things. The engine light will go out after fill up sometimes but usually come back on for good later.

re: Pavers over concrete patio?

Drainage is certainly a concern. I was not comfortable with the pavers being above the slab lines and above the weep holes so I left a 2 foot gap from the brick for drainage and painted the concrete slab. The patio already had the proper tilt for drainage and is completely exposed with brick on 2 sides.

I've done it. Glue outside perimeter with landscape adhesive. Use polymeric sand for the joints. The rain draining off the roof will cause you to refresh the polymeric sand every few years where it hits. Much easier than mortar.
had the same problem on a John Deere -fuse that allowed recharging of battery was blown....this was after fuel solenoid was replaced.
