According to jcfootball.scout.com, of the top 40 JC recruits, rated from 5 to 3 stars, 16 have committed to SEC schools broken down by teams:

Take it from a Houston resident, avoid the Houston alt route unless you absolutely have to. I-45 will be a nightmare due to the college schedules for UH, TA&M, plus the LSU faithful, not to mention the yahoo's that live here. ...

Don't attempt that walk! The belle should have busses and you can always catch a cab. You need to catch the team and the band coming down between the Assembly Center and the stadium, and there are several websites that advertise this schedule on Saturday, usually 2-3 hours before kickoff.
