re: Challenge to Miles haters

If the Tigers lose to Bama this year and next year, too, Miles will become the second casualty of Saban's tenure at Bama. The first casualty was Tommy Tuberville, Auburn's ex-coach.

During the 2nd quarter, Bob Davie said LSU needed to switch from zone coverage to man-on-man coverage. Davie is a good analyst, not as astute as Gary Danielson, but his comment was correct. The last few years, when he was at Tennessee, Chavis was criticized for being too inflexible to make timely adjustments needed during the course of a game. His defenders said Tennessee didn't have have enough talent to allow him to make the adjustments that he wanted to make.
About two weeks ago, Chavis was quoted as saying LSU's defense has championship talent and, if LSU didn't win, it wouldn't be for lack of talent. I know it was only the first game, that it was a long road trip and a late kick-off (9:30 CDT), but if the defense doesn't get much, much better (including the defensive play-calling) by October 10, Florida will embarass LSU again, except this time it will be in Tiger Stadium.
