Lucas Zener Diodes on old Triumph motorcycles were sketchy as hell.

One minute you're running down the road enjoying the wind and then the next you could be sitting on the side of the road broken down.......

Replaced the Lucas zener diode with one from Radio Shack and never had the problem again. It was a quarter of the price of the Lucas one too!
The First Day of Rock and Roll at the Superdome in the 70’s did not suck.

If you are talking about knee replacements, I slept in the bed. For sinus surgeries the recliner was better.

Family Firearms doesn’t charge sales tax.

They have a price of $999 but not in stock.
We have some Phillips L prize bulbs from 2012 that are still bright and going strong. This is the bulb that won the competition the DOE held for a led bulb. They were about $60 each here. Flew through Denver and ended up walking through a Lowe’s during the layover. SUBSIDIZED price was $5 each. Filled a cheap duffel bag and brought it as a carry on.

Sig P220, but I would buy it used LE trade ins. Keeps you under budget and pistol will last forever.

I had a friend with an old BSA. He always made a point to tell you that it actually stood for Bastard Stopped Again.

I had one and that is what I always said the BSA stood for with its quirky electric parts that would fail at the most inopportune times. Same with many of the early Triumphs and their Zener diodes going bad

My ‘69 Triumph Bonneville would burn out the zener diode about every 4 months. Bought one from RadioShack for a tenth of the price and never had to change it again. Lucas electrical parts were very hit or miss, quality control sucked.

If the ammo wasn’t so expensive it is a fun round. The new Smith and Wesson pistol is gas operated and should even have less recoil. Waiting to see how they do once they get used in the field. If they hold up it could be fun to play with.
