I've had the same experience for a few months when watching anything live. It has been especially bad using a Roku 3, almost unwatchable. Better using a Sony Android TV, but still buffers occasionally.

I got to play with one at the Microsoft kiosk here today. I was really impressed. I couldn't believe how thin it was. About as thin as a Surface RT.

Some of the content was pretty cool, especially Russinovich's stuff, and the Snover/Jones PowerShell Tag Team.
I still think that the most worthwhile thing at TechEd is hanging out at the TechExpo and picking the brains of some really, really smart people, though. You can always catch the content on Ch. 9 later.
"Cloud" and "Azure" where definitely the buzz words for the week.
The PowerShell sessions were great. I got to meet Don Jones and Ed Wilson at the Expo. Super nice guys!
PowerShell is awesome. I use it mainly for Active Directory and Office 365.

Great news! Unfortunately, Sporting News Radio is not on XM (for now).
I've always liked the blackened chicken. And their mashed potatoes are awesome.
