Moved my oldest to Athens this weekend. Made sure to paint her room a shade of purple. Avoided all the UGA Dad shirts and bumper stickers. Cool town and campus though. And if you live in Georgia a good place to go to school for future prospects.

Like Billy Jack said, "I’m going to take my right foot, and I’m going to whomp you on that (pointing to the left) side of your face, and you know something? There’s not a damn thing you’re going to be able to do about it."

Definitely could be. I was just going by highlights. Actual memory of the full games is clouded by rum and cokes.

Watching Highlight Replays

Watched all of the highlight replays. Sometimes it's the plays that aren't highlights that are important, but it is what it is.

Early in the season Marshall was everywhere. Injury definitely affected his season. But looking at it, his time out allowed Jamar and Justin to step up into go to receivers.

Clyde is the man. So many plays that were important were made by him. Other running backs are talented and could have their moments, but have to give Clyde his props. Highlight reel year for him.

Dillion had some great moments but given the receiving corps he seems to be lost in the crowd. McRath as well. Talented receiving corps beyond starters. Sullivan seemed to be the tight end early but later games Moss takes over.

York was solid but struggled at some moments. He's a freshman so all in all a solid season.

Brennan made some solid plays. Hard to tell what they mean in mop up duty, but made some nice plays. Probably a little struggle (everything will be a struggle when compared to Burrow) next year but unlimited ceiling for senior year. Could surprise though.

Curry, Price and Emery all had nice plays but did not really have the snaps to really show what they could do.

Games were more lopsided then I remembered. Lot of points conceded by defense when games were already won.

Burrow was consistent regardless of situation. The difference between an undefeated season vs a loss or two.

If you're bored waiting for Saturday's game definitely fun to watch highlights of all games.
Augusta Tiger, Agree with you on the move to FBS. In FCS GSU had a legitimate chance to play for a championship. Sure it was a lower level but Championships meant something. In FBS we're just a nobody that will never play in a National championship. At least not in my lifetime.

Talon,

Not sure where the schools are showing but here's a quick run down... NLU Monroe (when they were the Indians) in 84. After a 0.69 GPA decided it was time to get a job. UNO from 88 - 90. Wen to Panama City in 90 and decided to transfer to a school closer to the beach. Wound up picking GA Southern. Made it to Tybee once and Hilton Head once. So much for that. Graduated in 93, then went to Grad school at the other GSU (GA State).

I just missed the ERK years arriving in 90. Tim Stowers took over that year. Still got to experience a National Championship though. The Erk mystic was still in force. Had a blast at Southern... and that's going from New Orleans to Statesboro.

Reference to "better Luck" in previous years is more about how LSU was doing then. This year I think LSU can be the best its been in a while.

And can't tell you what I'd like to Brian VanGorder.

LSU Fan, GSU grad here. Went to UNO for 2 years and submitted an app to LSU. Last minute sent one to GSU and got in there as well. I was paying for my own college and just decided it would be fun to go somewhere completely different.

Any GSU fan should understand my screen name... TigerErk.

GSU is a proud program that has a solid history. Seems like the only time they sucked is when they abandoned the option. But if any GSU fan expects a win out of this game they are delusional. Doesn't mean it can't happen, just not likely. But GSU beat Florida. And they took UGA to overtime.

But don't think this is the year. Past couple of years maybe would have been more of a possibility.

Personally I'm picking LSU and rooting for LSU. Doesn't mean I don't love my Eagles, but with a win and undefeated season GSU still would not get into the playoff mix. LSU though has a chance to have a special season.

Hope its close but that Tigers pull it out.
I wonder if Ford had not stepped out of bounds in OT against AL, would a 7 point AL loss have been perceived different from a 3 point loss?

I'm a huge LSU fan but graduated GSU in 1993. Nice to see another Eagle that's an LSU fan.

I expect we'll get killed by Alabama this year but we have played some top tier teams well ….FSU leading in the 4th quarter, Auburn up 17 at the half, and some other. Depth shows up in the 4th quarter and these were losses. Also the Oregon St. game a couple of years ago ended something like 44 to 37 with us having the ball on their 20 hard line.

Let's not forget App St. beating Michigan. 1AA can beat 1A teams but few and far between.

Kind of cool to have the #1 team in both levels.

Atlanta news station reported that GA Tech has accepted a bid to the Peach Bowl. Not official but they did mention that something more official could be forthcoming tomorrow.

SC and LSU mentioned as potential opponents on news here in Atlanta.

**I think bids cannot be officially made until 12/6, but the reporter seemed to indicate that there might be an official announcement tomorrow by Tech.
Georgia Southern, who over the years has had success on the level of App State (never got three in a row but did win back to back championships 3 times) has been talking about making the move. I think they're crazy. I like the fact that each year we have the ooportunity to compete for a national championship...even if it is a lower level.

We'll see if we're ready in a couple of weeks against Georgia. I'm not expecting it to be pretty.
