why do you all put up with the authors who create messages like these?

this is coming from a wvu fan no less.

if you are saying bama hasn't played anyone and they beat you, what in turn is that saying about your team? if you beat them will you still say that they haven't played anyone? either way it's a dig at your very own team. i've always hated this "arguement" on opponents that you face.

not really any must see sights within knoxville itself. the allure or draw to the area is still the great smokey mountains national park.
but we did have a super early snowfall up above the 3000 foot level, so some of the trees are already starting to change colors for fall. fall foliage drive is about the only thing to "see".

same as any other player who wants to win.
20 hours per week of coaching instruction..but no time limits on film time.
it wasn't in new orleans.

both bowls were in atlanta due to hurricane katrina.

lsu was playing miami and wvu faced off against georgia in the sugar.

we ran many places in atlanta out of alcohol.

lsu and wvu fans combined = $$$$$ for bars
a bunch of alcoholics...lol

Running tally (gross on the left net profit on the right):

Marshall $160,656 $75,781
Norfolk St. $120,797 $56,979
LSU $255,396 $120,470

Gross so far $536,849

Net profit so far $253,229 ($84,409/gm)

255,396$ was spent on beer during hte lsu game. yeah i think both fan bases can drink just a bit. lol. good lord i knew it would be a really good figure for the beer sales but didn't think it would be over 250K$

pity any town that has both of these fan bases in bowl games..aka atlanta ..both fan bases ran the bars out of alcohol for the peach and sugar bowls respectively.

wvu would be on your true rival in terms of partying.

but it would take wvu a few years of good recruiting and actually beating lsu before you all considered it a "rival"

afterall it's only a rivalry to the team that doesn't win the game as often.
lol..do we drink and/or know how to make sweet tea...it's once you get across the ohio river that sweet tea starts becoming something you don't see as much of.

but yeah we definitely love our sweet tea

if we get into the sec, then we'll be able to see exactly how wvu would fare.

untill then it's a moot point. you play the teams you must play due to conference membership and who is available to play in OOC games.

they are shite in football..because they don't really have football fans.

rupp arena and their football are worlds apart in terms of participation and atmosphere

if their football stadium could be 1/10th of rupp arena on a good game they might then be able to make some noise

i've lived all over the nation. and the only times that i come across the attitudes that we get blamed for..is when i'm in the bigger cities and that's for all ages.

when i'm out in the country i don't come across these attitudes..yes i come across rednecks and hillbillies. but they don't do anything to anyone if left alone for the most part. yes you do get your ignorant ones, but that's the same as anywhere else

and age is no excuse, my 8 year old behaves better than some of those 18- 24 year olds and that's the honest truth. and i know for a fact i was much better behaved in that time range listed. granted if i acted like this, i would've had the federal government up my arse and not just fans. the usmc and military in general wants you to conduct yourself in a certain manner. tis called discipline

there are lines and rules to civilized society, and they are there for a reason.

re: Why go for 2 at 40?

because that forces 3 scores to even get tied.

puts pressure on the opposing team..not that you all needed more pressure to put on my eers..but that's why you do it

television ratings for the game

television ratings for the game last night

do believe abc will be calling last nights viewership a pretty big win for them.

no i'm not reading into his words that he wrote in response to what i posted. i'm taking them at face value. can't stand it when someone says...well you really mean this in your words. no my words are face value, no double talking or tongue twisting.

we are still trying to find our running game. i knew this, wvu knows this, the wvu faithful know this. anyone who has seen tape thru the first part of this year for wvu should know this. the dink passes are the answer for not having a running game. for whatever reason our oline does better at pass blockin than they do road grating with running blocks.

i would rather put up 200 yards of offense and win than put 800 yards and lose.

your punter alone is enough to win you games. when both teams are playing a field position type game. he constantly put my eers with 80-97 yard fields to drive. and the odds/percentages are not in your favor when and if you have to do those types of drives..they just aren't
glad you enjoyed the trip and were able to see the differences in the fans.

tis the younger crowd that we are in the process of "educating" about what is and what isn't proper behavior.

morgantown has the rep of a party school for a reason.

hope you enjoyed the white water and the scenery of my state

would love to know what school you went to that gives you the idea that i'm satisfied? seriously, english/reading comprehension. it's not that difficult.

that's a simple fact, no-one else in the sec will do what wvu did in terms of the game.

no-one else on the rest of your schedule runs that type of offense.

there haven't been any stories about it yet. haven't seen anyone ask those questions to him as of yet either.

most of those 25 and up...are from west virginia

a lot of the younger crowd which does the stupid shite are from jersey/new york

we get a lot of students from both of those places due to the relatively cheap out of state tuition costs of wvu.

the traveling crowd which came down to BR last year is a better starting point as to how people are in west virginia

no-one else during the rest of your schedule can duplicate what wvu did. none. the rest of the teams you will face will be more akin to what you are built as. running/play action pass which requires good defensive play to stop.

and you will not face another qb in the sec that can do what geno does.

now what you might face in the bowl game will be a ??? till the opponent is known
you don't know the history of the program. we've seen it before under don nehlen where the team just laid down.

doesn't matter about the final outcome it is already a loss.

i'm glad to see this team not lay down and continue to fight.

like i said if you can find fault in that.....
