I wouldn't be surprised to see both Welter and Beckwith on the field at the same time a good amount next year.

I have a good group of Tiger fans that have and will continue to travel to these neutral site openers, and we also sit through the Towson type games at home, along with the Auburn and Bama games. We like to travel and we will back our Tigers wherever they play. And it keeps us in front of the national recruits' eyes, so a win-win.

Miles berates Guilbeau

Sorry if this is old, but CLM's handling of Glenn Guilbeau was awesome!

LSU coach Les Miles again worked with defensive linemen as he did in the first practice Thursday morning for mostly veterans. Miles made a point loudly to signee Chris Davenport of Mansfield during a drill.
Miles was salty during the morning practice as well and took a good-natured verbal shot at this reporter just before shaking hands. As he ran by a group of reporters chatting, Miles said, "Good morning, gentlemen. You too, Guilbeau."

It looks like this class is going to be a good one- and the few guys who we are waiting for are getting a chance to see that we have great coaches and some pretty good players and commitments who are good guys. The future of LSU football looks bright.
Still a long way to NSD, but having so many needs already covered leaves just a few guys (Reed, Lache, Dickson) with decisions to make- and it is a huge advantage for our staff to be able to start on the 2011 guys. I think that Simon will play DB and will be the biggest surprise from this class. This class is solid, and this staff seems to know much more about the players than any recruiting site!
