re: O-Line

The play calling, who ever is doing it, is garbage! Our line just doesn't seem as stong as the guys they line up against We have extremly fast skilled people. Why don't we spread the field out and see what the line can do with more of a finesse attack. This running out the eye with CS and KW is just not going to work when the DT's are 2 yards in the backfield on every play.

I would rather see Chris Garrett the freshman than JL. JL just does not have game time skills. He throws a pretty ball, and shines in practice but with the OL we have, there would be more pick6's than last year.

"Ill say it,.. I wish they would give JL another shot.
If he's learned form last yrs mistakes... boom.
If not, JJ is right there.

To me it just doestn seem that we have an identity on offense.
Fuking gimmiky.
We have 5 wides NUMEROUS times during the game and we have trouble commpleting passes that over 8 yrds.
FWIW, Recievers so far have made JJ look better than JJ has made himself look."

You have lost your mind! JJ is a football player and a winner. He has not thrown a interception and has beaten two teams who will both have winning records this year. Do you remember watching JL last year? It was painful! JL is not a game time football player. He looks awesome in practice because his mechanics are great but great mechanics doesn't mean shite. As far as statistics go, Ben Roethlisberger's stats look like crap but he is a game time quarterback who leads his team to wins.
I read that on TigerRag. He said that he was going to tell Les that he wanted to take a few visits.
First of all I am all for a kid getting the most out the recruitment process, but should Les allow a player to verbaly commit if they want to visit other schools? If a top RB is looking at LSU but we already have 2 verbals for RB, he is not going to give us serious consideration. Then one of our committed RB's takes a visit to another school loves it and changes his commitment right before signing day. Meanwhile the RB who was considering LSU already chose FSU because we had 2 commits for RB.

It is exactly what happened with the kid Jackson, from Barb last year. We hold his spot and loose out on the other safety from Atlanta.

I just think we should not except a vervbal commitment until they are 100% committed. Meaning no other visits.

The reason I ask is because I read that Sam Gibson had decided to take some visits. Now this is a good recruit but not a great one. He has a spot taken. What if he changes his mind after these visits? We held a spot for an average recruit. When we may have gotten a better player if they thought we had room.

Though, it could easily be argued that Hilliard received more exposure because of his last name.

Do you guys know that Kenny's last name is actually Green. His mother is Dalton's sister. They had him use Hilliard instead of Green.
I will be watching Kenny run over my alma-ata tonight. He looks a little quicker this year. Hard to believe he will just be a junior.
Some guys are QB's and some are practice QB's. Jarrett always shines in practice because he throws a beautiful ball. He just is not a real game QB. Kind of like Jeff George only not as good.
Whatever, McCray will be the starter then with 13:45 left in the first quarter of the Washington game Ron Brooks will come in and McCray will be lucky to be on Special Teams.
You should never put the word "Pro" and "Jarrett Lee" in the same sentence

re: Nick Jacobs....big TE's

Another thing is. Who knows if a high school TE is a pass catching TE. Most high school quarterbacks can't throw well enough or the school doesn't throw the ball enough to determine that. Nick may have some great hands, Many High may just have some bad QB's.

The only people in the world who didn't see this coming were UT fans! Even the UT coachs seem like they new it was coming. Hell a sub-par Miami team past on him. Wow how many players has Miami ever past on?
For what it is worth he is #4 on Russell Shepards Myspace friends list. Maybe he is a lock.
No, the reason they lost Shep is because his girlfriend was already a student at LSU. That is the only reason he committed so early in the process.

No he is not Ivory's son. Kenny's last name is actually Green. His mom is a Hillard, Dalton's sister.

I work with his uncle and we just talked about this the other day. Curtis told me that Kenny really likes LSU and has been there a few times. He doesn't feel like Kenny wants to go out of state.
