Guess I shouldn't depend on paid writers to give accurate info and spend more time reading all your posts...I'd be far better off I'm sure.

Admit it is funny though...and I'm man enough to leave it up as witness to my less than thorough investigation
It looks as though 6'6" 345lb Texas A&M DL Kellen Heard will be a much needed late addition for the LSU Tigers. The rumor first broke on memphisroar; and according to my sources Heard has already been spotted on campus and around the Murphy Complex. "He's a monster, that's all I'll say", one Tiger player said when asked if he'd seen Heard. -- Examiner
jrz1-I've brought at least 20 groups from around the country for their 1st visit to BR and all have said they wish they had drug themselves out of bed in NO earlier to get to BR had they known. Rent a van and leave NO for 9-10, it's gonna take you 2 hours-take the Nicholson (Hwy 73) exit and take the back road in for sure. You leave NO on the bus for 12 you're not getting close to the stadium til 3 at least. It's tough but have one guy stop drinking before/when yall go into the game and 5 hours later he should be good to go on the drive home, or have him sleep in the van for a while til he is-w/ guys that age there is definitely gonna be one who wants a nap.

When you get to the stadium area start by a place called Walk-ons (park around it if possible, its just off Nicholson) and work your way towards the stadium. You'll pass the Game Day stuff and it works well at eventually getting you by the stadium and Mike's cage and then up to the center of campus for more food and parties. You'll be in the right area to watch the band go down to the stadium at 5 and then linger around for a few more coctails before going into the game 30 minutes before kickoff.

God I cant wait...

Ole Bill was an architect that enjoyed his drinks and drugs into his twenties. He was on mushrooms and some scotch at the construction site and wandered into the wrong place. He took one of those crane grappling hooks to the head and now he's practically retarded.

It's called Darwinism you old fart, and what these kids are talking about is called entertainment...that is what a baseball game is about isn't it.

You want to make your buddy's injury worth something?? Go stand outside the nearest construction site and offer the workers breathalizer tests as they show up for their shifts; didn't think so you f'in wind bag.

Just for the record I'll be ziploced and flasked to the hilt. LSU LSU LSU

My bad, just saw the post from a few days ago.
This is from the San Diego paper:
"As rumors swirl that he is headed to New Orleans and with everyone trying to read into the official silence, LaDainian Tomlinson said yesterday that he still hopes to be a Charger in 2009. "I am optimistic (a restructure) will happen," Tomlinson told reporters in Texas. "But again, I'm realistic about certain things, and I understand it is a business. Sometimes business decisions are made that are out of our control. But my heart wants to stay in San Diego." Tomlinson spoke before being inducted into the Texas Sports Hall of Fame yesterday along with six others. Tomlinson's agent and the Chargers are discussing a retooled contract that would save the Chargers some money and allow them flexibility to try to sign other players to long-term deals. -- San Diego Union-Tribune"

Remember ol' JB Shugarts....

Posted by chitownTiger on 3/2/09 at 12:14 pm
A pair of Ohio State freshman football players will be in court this week to face a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. Mike Adams, 18, and J.B. Shugarts, 19, were cited on Jan. 14 after being pulled over for running a stop sign at Pearl St. and E. 14th St., in the campus area. They were not arrested. Each has pleaded not guilty. Adams has a pre-trial hearing set for Monday and Shugarts for Wednesday, both in Franklin County Municipal Court. The charge is a fourth-degree misdemeanor, punishable by a maximum of 30 days in jail and a $250 fine. -- Columbus Dispatch

re: Morgantown is a dump...

Been to 3 games in Morgantown over the last 2 years and its an awesome place to see a game. All of you who say otherwise are fools. Outside of OSU & UT (maybe Wisc.-and I havent been to Ore St but hear it gets nuts) no one comes as close to the SEC atmosphere as WVU. And don't try to flex nuts, i promise u no one on here travels to as many universities for games as I do. And Morgantown itself has been built up quite a bit over the last 2-3 years. Y'all want to make the trip, period. And if you can start the weekend early, go to the southern part of the state and raft/kayak the New or Gauley-best rivers East of the Mississippi, hands down

Guarantee that L Guidry is DB coach in 2 years minimum. Monte retires or moves to a arse HC role, the DB coach is made D coord and L Guidry is brought on board after an indirect route to where his son is playing. Book it.

And before you claim BS on that scenario think about the red flags a Guidry to Tenn this year would have caused. And look at the new DB coach at Tenn-why would he make that move from where he was at????

re: Official: Benton offer pulled

Hell, Benton is eligible for the draft NEXT year. Kid couldn't make the grades in HS how's he gonna stay focused enough with the NFL looming on the horizon to stay SEC eligible...
dmitch, I agree. We're only getting the snippits of interviews that reporters want us to read and that can paint a picture that's not entirely accurate.
quote:

It would have been entirely easy for Miles to dance around that one and he intentionally chose NOT to. So, I agree with a few of the other posters..maybe he was fed up and felt he had more to lose by not being open (RR trust, etc) than throwing the kid under the bus. Benton just had too much baggage and probably needed to be somehwere else.

TigerFan11 nailed it, yeah it would have been easy for LM to dance around and sound PC but he had had enough of that and decided to end it and admit that the buck stopped with him. It's called leadership. Decision had to be made and he made the one that brought a good STUDENT athlete to LSU over a guy who may not stay eligible til the Spring of '10-don't know about y'all but I hope we're still playin' then if you know what I mean!! It's done, our HC made the call and is standing by it, I like it alot for the long term health of the program.
