re: The Fans need to lay off Miles

In the last two years he can't win half of his conference games and we need to lay off of him? Give me a break!
Sorry, I dont check these boards everyday....

Tolliver catches the ball at 1:44. The ball is snapped again for the spike at 2:14. That's 30 seconds in between plays.

I am pretty sure I heard Miles say it takes 12 seconds to get the field goal team on the field. This seams like plenty of time to me to get the field goal team on the field. If you snap the ball on the "on play" whistle, there was also time to get the play off.

This however would require planning ahead.
I can see both sides of this argument. I agree that 10-2 or 9-3 are good seasons and consistently being 10-2 would be a great coaching career.

I also do not want to always be delegated to the Capital One or Cotton bowl because we can’t beat Alabama. Florida and Alabama will have up and down years, but for the foreseeable future they will be VERY good footballs and difficult to beat. They are well coached teams.

With the amount of money we pay Miles and the quality recruiting classes he brings in, as fans we expect to win or play in the SEC title every couple of years. However misplaced that may be, that is the expectation of most fan, given our recent success. 10-2 with a loss to Bama is not going to get us into that game. I can’t speak for the OP, but I don’t feel we will beat Bama consistently any time soon.

I hope I am wrong, but I don’t think I am.

4. Russell Shepherd will be a huge asset next year and a great "change of pace" at WR

I would really like to see him redshirted, that way he is a full two years behind Jefferson.

LSU will win a close game in the SEC title game over UF

Depends if Tebow comes back, but I think he will.

UF win tonight, they heads will be in orbit, 2 BBall titles and now 2 FB titles, they will consider themselves thee premier sports university.

And rightly so. Two football titles in 3 years, a hiesman winner, two basketball titles and a good baseball team. I think that qualifies them. But hey, LSU is turning the corner as a sports progam, not just football. Our baseball team is back, the basketball is on its way back and lets not forget the other sports like track, womens basketball! We are in that conversation for sure!

I would agree with this statement.

I am in favor of a playoff system. Think of the great match ups you could have possibly had this year. I think an 8 team playoff system would be perfect. You could still play all the bowl games, just reserve 6 bowls for the bracket, with one national championship games. The 8 spots could be based on the BCS scoring system. Just my 2cents

I think 10-2 is achievable, but 8-4 is not out of the question. Hopefully Jefferson contiues to play well. What a difference good quarterback play has especially when you are not spotting your opponent points.
