stop saying "should of", it's "should have" the ve in should've is from have. not of. wow.

ellis had a solid year and would HAVE had better stats had he not missed time due to injury.

ellis was also the safer pick because he played at a big time school whereas DRC was a huge question mark; even his performance at the senior bowl practices and game were not enough to make him an obvious top ten pick like ellis.

cow: can you guys ask jarret lee to throw me a ball if he gets in on wednesday?? I'll make sure not to wear an LSU jersey that way he'll know that it's cool to toss me one! :banghead:

well he is one of four receivers to catch over a thousand yards in their rookie year...i THINK. don't hold me to that. but yeah he had a monster rookie campaign that totally justified his draft position but ever since then has only been a marginal WR

cut him some slack. he scored LSU's first td in their win over OU in 2003...he also had a 60 yard return last week. saints and tigers fans (and i admit i do this sometimes too) are a bit too quick to forget everything a player has done and label them exclusively based on their most recent play. just my thoughts...

didnt know about the saban cheering though, thats f'ed up.

What's a paltry 25lbs anyway?

in bench when you get that high up its not like you can add that in a few weeks. and pound for pound michael ford makes that dude look like some walkon kicker.

in addition to sporting events, be sure to go to class! -- don't take a page out of the RP book :banghead:
returning 7 starters is insane. especially considering how many guys hit over 300 last year. if dean lives up to his preseason all american hype and the three sophomore starters (landry, gibbs, lemahieu) make strides from their already tremendous play last yera as freshmen, we'll be sick.

FWIW last time tigers were ranked #1 preseason they won it all.

i think they'll make it to the CWS finals.
it'll probly be their typical triple option for about 20 yards because some safety goes for a big hit and whiffs. then all the players go "oh shite. we have to play these guys." and from then on things calm down and we handle em.
for entertainment i would go with peter lalich because i played highschool ball twenty minutes from his high school and just transferred out of uva but was there for all of his shenanigans

seriously though, id go with arrelious benn or marvin austin - both in the top three at their position and decided to go to up and coming schools to help build a program, something i think says a lot about their character. btw they both start for illinois and unc, respectively.
i wanna see the game because it'll carry implications on many things:
-how we can finish out with recruiting
-les's ability to get his players to bow their necks and get a win as an underdog
-if young players are given more pt than usual, how well do they step up
-we'll see if JJ can put himself a step ahead in the spring qb race with a good performance in a bowl game
-help out SEC's hopeful dominance this bowl season
-hopefully a strong performance and a win to get all the guys pumped about resurrecting the program next year and making it to the SECCG and a BCS bowl

short answer: the game.

im impressed that your incoming o lineman "reportedly" benches 25 pounds less than our incoming tailback  :booboo:
richardson if scott leaves early

randle if lafell leaves early

but i think the real surprise will be jones
one thing that saints fans must stop is getting on the case of jamal brown. yeah he ends up with his fair share of penalties but in a game where the offense throws 40-50 times youre bound to get beat more often than a team that throws half that frequently. one must also consider that jamal brown is brees's BLINDSIDE protector and ask yourself: would you rather see a ten yard hold or a cheap shot at drew's name-plate?? I think drew could answer that with no hesitation. stop looking at the game in one dimension and appreciate arguably our best o lineman in recent years.

synopsis: jamal brown is our qb's blindside protector on the most pass-happy team in the league for a qb that magically ends up being at or around the top of the list for least-sacked. give him a break if he holds here and there.

draft eric berry

He still has a year left in college...

I think Mays from USC or that Curry from Wake Forest could be taken in the first round and be starters as rookies. Saints should go after a top of the line CB because our lack of depth this year KILLED us and a solid defensive end might be a decent investment because Grant and Smith both have huge contracts now and could use some new motivation to produce at the level expected of them.

Do you think he would move McCray to LB?

Have you see McCray whiff continuously from safety? Do you think that moving him closer to the line would reduce the frequency of that happening? I personally get really nervous when McCray is on the field...
