I know, right, the word gumbo is cajun enough without adding eaux to the end of it. Maybe they wanted to brand it different than regular gumbo since it was being made right down the street from LSU. Either way, I am all against bastardizations, how do we put a stop to them? :geauxtigers:

There are many changes to the judging from last year. There will be a double-blind entry, where judges or the committee will not know whose gumbo they are judging and picking for the winner. They are also bringing back categories, there will be a chicken and sausage, cajun combo, and seafood category along with best overall. They are also including more experienced local chefs as judges, the goal was to have atleast 6 experienced chefs with over 50 years combined culinary experience to grade the gumbos. Its going to be a great year for the Roux Rally!

have they done the coin toss yet to see who gets home for two out of the three? If usl gets it, I won't be able to contain myself from dog cussing any and all ages of red this weekend.
