I was wrong. Going undefeated is asking too much, but, he should have gone at least one season with no more than one loss.

I've been reading your message board for a while because it's entertaining and interesting to see the perspective of another SEC fan base.

I felt like posting because the arguments I heard during the Shula tenure were similar to what I'm seeing on your board now.

Also, Florida has a lot more talent than Alabama, has been crushing everyone they play and has a good coach. It's real rocket surgery I'm seeing on here all you predicting us to get crushed. And if we lose and go 13-1 with no championship to show for it, I'll still be happy because we are way ahead of schedule.
I'll add Miles is not a bad coach. Just not a good coach.

My take on LSU Coaching situation

...as an Alabama fan. (But first, let me say I like the forum you guys have here- pretty good stuff).

I wanted Shula fired after his 1st year when he went 4-9. His second year we lost our starting QB and went 6-6. I still wanted him fired but I thought he did a better job that year. His 3rd year we went 10-2 and I still wanted him fired because it was still obvious he was a bad coach even though our record was not indicative of that.

Many (at least a third) Bama fans did not want Shula fired after his 4th year. They were stupid. Look at what we have now.

So, to all you LSU fans who want to get rid of Miles you are right because he's not a good coach.
A good coach would have gone undefeated at least one of the past 4 years for LSU. You can tell by what you see on the field Miles is not a good coach. I'm sure the majority of LSU fans disagree, but, to the minority, I've been in your shoes and feel your pain.

After seeing Mike Dubose, Denny Franchione and Mike Shula get 10 win seasons at Alabama I know the record does not tell the full story.

Hopefully (as a Bama fan) dumber heads will prevail and Miles will have to fall completely into Denardocrity before he is run off. But, you really shouldn't have to wait that long.
