Update- Loston's teammate should be a Duck soon and Loston is "Thinking about it".
I still think CL ends up at LSU though FWIW.

Didn't Crowton get run out of Oregon? I know the fans were very pleased when he left.
His chemistry with the coaches and players didn't mesh well. His offense here was also becoming very predictable. I wasn't "pleased" but I also though we could get someone better which IMO, we did in Chip Kelly. I guess I wouldn't say better, just better for us. We needed a spread option guru and a national recruiter. Kelly is both. Kelly and Mullen are the best OCs in the country when it comes to the spread option and Kelly is also the only reason we are getting some big time national visitors like Craig Loston and Bryce Brown.
Like I said above, I love Dixon but when it comes to the playbook, he had a tough time. Crowton's system was way too complicated for him. Kelly came in, simplifized the offense and centered it around Dixon and he flourished his senior year, would've been a lock for the heisman if he stayed healthy and Oregon would've gone to the National Championship game to play Ohio State.

Crowton leaving was the best thing for Dixon and his development though. I like Crowton but his heart wasn't at Oregon. He was looking to leave after the first year here. He also pretty much wrote off Dixon after his midseason struggles his Junior year which killed his confidence.
Chip Kelly came in and simplifized the offense here (Since Dixon is not a bright one to be honest) and built the whole offense around Dixon which is why he blew up his senior year after a below average junior year.
I agree with you though, you need a dual-threat QB which is why I think Russell Sheppard will tear it up at LSU.

I have no idea who took the signs. We all walked to chimes so I don't think anyone from our group did to be honest.
BTW, do you have any pictures of the tailgate?

Yeah it was a blast. Of course being the out of towner they did not allow me to not have a drink in my hand. I think I did that damn shot-ski at least 15 times from 7:30-Noon, that's not including all the beer I had either, lol.
I hear ya when it comes to cheerleaders, that we do have...

I had crawfish and even catfish and both were very good. But I love my salmon.

Seafood is awesome up here. Seattle is known for their seafood and the salmon is top notch. Alaskan King Crab is the best I've ever had and I travel a lot.

I didn't say food was better, it was just different. I thought it was very good though. Some things are better up here, some are better down there. Seafood and Oriental food for example is probably a lot better in Oregon.
Crowd Noise, well I haven't been to Florida but I think when most people say the top 3 loudest stadiums in the country are LSU, Oregon, and Florida, I think they're correct.
And no, I didn't come to just see the girls, they were a big bonus though.

BTW, anyone hear anything about Loston's visit? I haven't heard anything on our end yet.

I saw a Boise State shirt, thought that was even more weird than Oregon.
Did the Washington State flag make it's way to gameday?

If I had to guess, I would say Bama for Randle. That is a pure guess though, could be wrong. Also, this was the night before the game so anything is possible. Definitely a LSU-Bama battle though.

Definitely, night games at Autzen are the best. Like LSU, it gets a hell of a lot crazier and louder at night, especially against Oregon State or Washington.
Definitely recommend coming up for a game for any of you guys, great place to catch a game. I've already cleared it from Kelly's heroes that I'm starting an Oregon shot-ski up in Eugene.

I'm sure that was me, about 5'10, 210. I'm almost positive I was the only mf'er down there wearing anything Oregon, lol.

I was at the tents with the shot-ski. They had a rivals.com banner up. There were guys from all around, I was the Oregon fan wearing the Oregon jersey but there was a Florida State fan, USC fan, Notre Dame fan, etc along with a bunch of LSU and Bama fans of course.

My first SEC experience...

this weekend at the LSU-Bama game was unbelievable. Hey ya'll, some know me from the rivals main board but thought I'd share some thoughts on here too.
My goal coming to Baton Rouge was to have a lot of fun and to compare with Oregon. Well, there wasn't much of a comparison...
Scenary- Oregon
BR is nothing to look at compared to the Northwest obviously but that was a given.
Hospitality- LSU, no comparison, the people were great, very nice, and nothing but smiles, wanted nothing but to have fun, and surprisingly, I wore my Oregon jersey and I got more "Go Ducks" than "You must be lost" comments. Kelly's Heroes were freaking awesome and I look forward to tailgating with ya'll up in Seattle next year.
Women- LSU for the win here. WOW, had quality and quantity. You could not look in a direction at the tailgate and not see at least an 8. Unbelievable, and if Georgia and Ole Miss are better in terms of trim than LSU like the SEC guys were saying at the game, then I will need to see it to believe it.
Food- It was very good and different so tough to compare. First time eating stuff like Alligator, crawfish, gumbo, boudin balls, poboys and all that stuff. Most was very good.
Tailgating- LSU, no comparison. Had a freakin blast. All the hot chicks with us were awesome, all the dudes were cool. There was never any point in which there was even tension between anyone which was weird. Just a great time. First time in my life I believe that I was hammered by 10 AM cause since I was the visitor from 2,000 miles away, I was not allowed to be standing around empty handed, lol. Those guys kept making me do the shot ski and they made it a goal to f me up before the game. Just a great time with very nice scenary. Oh and doing the shot-ski with 3 chicks that are about a 9, 9, and a 9 was definitely an experience, just don't send those pics to my wife k? :-P
Game Experience- LSU, It had to be though considering it was Bama. We were in the bama section and had a blast. The game was crazy and the blocked field goal was unbelievable. Great place to watch a game.
Crowd Noise-
1-3 Qtrs- Oregon was louder
4th Qtr- LSU, when the sun went down, something sparked up these fans and it was very loud. That part was crazy but I wonder why they weren't that loud in the first three qtrs. Overall, to be honest, I think crowd noise is pretty even. Both places are crazy.
Night before the game- LSU, crazy. We went to chimes and my god, everywhere you look there were 8s, 9s, and some 10s all over the damn place. Had dinner with Reuben Randle and Josh Downs which was cool. You can tell people were pumped about the game.
Overall, I had a great experience and want to come back next year. I know the people we tailgated with are coming up to Washington next year so I'll kick it with them next year. Great people all over the place. Besides Scenary and Cheerleaders, and the crowd noise being a push, LSU basically kicked Oregon's arse in every category. I went in with very high expectations and they were blown away!!! Even bought a LSU football for my son and a LSU shirt for my wife at the Baton Rouge airport on the way home.
Thanks again for all those that hosted us at the Shot-ski tailgate and you better believe I'm flying down for a game next year.
