Zapp's Pregame at Calandros?

Posted by nasa_tiger on 3/28/17 at 10:05 am
KBS and Donuts 7am at Calandros. Going to have a KBS keg and donuts for the bottle release. Solid opening act before Zapp's!

f yeah! :pimp: :pimp: :pimp:

OT was pretty solid last night. Floated ghost real quick though. Bourbon county was drinking damn good. The new room and tables made it pretty comfortable considering the amount of people during their normal after work rush and the added beer event.

 to OT

It sounds like y'all are looking for a place that's never busy and has zero atmosphere.

May I suggest Corporate Brew and Draft. No atmosphere, plus you get to see Garrett in his schmedium and Swanson's man bun. Also, zero chance of it being busy, but that won't stop them from taking forever.

CBD is a complete cancer to the beer scene in Baton Rouge.

Liked the old recipe commotion better which I thought was awesome for LA to put being putting out, new tastes like onions honestly. With Parish Envie killing it and comparable to ZD and PS, not sure demand will keep up on commotion in BR (none of my regular traders like it or ask for it like GiTM and Envie), but Envie is just as hard to get as ghost. I'm going Ghost, Envie, Ghost with how Andrew is pumping them out and I may ride that until I kill over.

Is G&G malty again? Will try it today. Thought last Jan's G&G was as good as GiTM, then last summer or last release it was a bit malty.

You need to package that belgian pale and double hopped commotion, those beers are fire. And your tap room is the best in the south.

Cheers.
I have seen at the same price in Houston. Lived there for 15 years. I think HEB singles are 4 or 5 bucks typically.
The entire situation in West Upper is a cluster.

The concession lines before and during the game stretch all the way back to the wall. It took right at 45 minutes to get food before the game last night. There's nowhere for anyone to walk to get to their seats, the restroom or to concessions. Everyone is packed in like sardines. I have no idea how that design/setup was ever deemed safe.

Still had fun, just could be a lot better if someone with a brain handled this stuff.
I can't see JD starting at LT another game, unless he has some sort of out of body/miracle experience that gets his game up.

I think we play our best game against Bama as well, and perhaps Arkansas (if we're playing for the West at that point). Our crowd against Bama should be unreal.
I am too, but at first I didn't like the Towson situation. Not now.
I must admit, I'm kind of glad at this point after last night and Florida coming up. Two weeks to fix the LT/OL and some of the discipline problems. Not sure the discipline is going to get fixed entirely.

Jacob Hester or PP7

It doesn't make anyone look bad if he gets his life together, returns to have success (maturity and personal life success as well as athletic) and represents LSU with class. It only makes Miles look bad if he returns and screws up again.
I would say if they wanted to rejoin the team, then a panel should have been established for that as well. I think everyone deserves a chance to prove themselves and appeal to a body that's independent of the situation and can make the right recommendation. The setup is flawed for everyone, not just the great players.

Obviously, there would be some clear objectives and requirements setup for TM7 to follow and if he failed then it's clear he's not committed.

One can say if this season's potential wasn't enough, then why does he deserve this. I say it's because of maturity and perhaps the problem he allegedly has with drugs. Neither are something that are solved quickly which is probably why he failed subsequent tests. 8 months is enough time to prove he's making enough progress for a review panel to recommend his return to the team.
In other professional scenarios, review panels decide the outcome of appeals similar to one TM7 would make to LSU in order to rejoin the football team. A policy should never be the deciding factor in these situations because every one of them is different. The circumstances are different, the people are different, and the benefits to both school/player are different. LSU and TM7 are missing out on a very positive potential outcome if he really wants to rejoin the team after focusing first on his personal development. In my opinion, an independent review panel should be created to review his progress and make a recommendation to LSU, Coach Miles, and the AD every three months. That seems pretty simple and would prove TM7's commitment and LSU's statement that they continue to care for their athletes and students.
