I think having LSU at 6 is right. Looking at the preseason poll out right now:
1) Georgia
2) USC
3) OSU
4) Oklahoma
5) Florida
6) LSU
7) Missouri
8) West Virginia
9) Clemson
10) Texas
...they are definitely ahead of Missouri, West Virginia, and Clemson in quality in my opinion. I could see making a case for Florida and LSU over Oklahoma but I think the season will grind that out. I wouldn't flip USC and OSU or Florida and LSU at this point because the season will take care of that naturally.

Must not have much to talk about if this got to 8 pages.
I think we're too busy being focused on Youngstown St. to be worried about the successes and downfalls of the past two years.
As a buckeye fan it was awesome to watch Appy St. go in and beat Michigan at The Big House but I think it should be noted that Llyod Carr had some problems last season getting his guys prepared. I think the players took it upon themselves later in the season to go out and win games. After all, some of those guys came back for their senior years and wanted to make all they could of it.
An opening loss to Appy St. was just the beginning for that team last year. They lost 39-7 to Oregon. Not to take anything away from Oregon, but you had to have no idea what you were doing to lose that bad. :spank:
They only beat Northwestern by 12, and Eastern Michigan by 11 (scored 0 points in 4th quarter). They managed to salvage some things by beating Florida in the bowl game but that was more of the last-hurrah for Llyod Carr which was driven by...the players.

tigerfan1, I agree on your outlook. I love OSU but these other programs have got to get their act together. I've often sat down with pencil and paper and said I would like to kick out so-and-so and bring in so-and-so.
As far as our OOC schedule goes, I think we need to let the MAC help themselves and start scheduling a Big East/ACC opponent every year in addition to a BIG game.
