Thank you both.
I'm giggling a little at how you both jumped in to help. You two are absolutely opposites, yet y'all both got involved. Who'd have imagined?
OK, here's the deal, Bailey's mom died recently. She was 41. Bailey's mom was fine with me. Dad & my younger brother are best friends, high school buddies. We're tied together because of their friendship and my brother is a career marine. I did my time in the Corps also.
Now, Bailey's mom is gone.
Bailey sees me as one of her best friends.
I want to do the right thing. I am dying to do the right thing.
What's the right thing?

I'm not trying to surpass the Wii.
I'm trying to help my friend, and most importantly, Bailey.
How do I do that?
I've seen you here before; you're struggling too. What's the best way for me to do the right way in a weird situation?

Raising kids is always an adventure. You?
I haven't had that adventure.
My neighbor/best friend has recently lost his wife. There is now a 5 year old girl who considers me her bestest friend; but I assume, you know how how difficult situations like this are. I bought her a Wi for Christmas.
What do you think is the next best move?

Maybe.
I'm decent at stiring things up.
Before I do that though, you & yours are hanging in OK?

Nonsense. You thrive on it here.

That's nice.
But I don't love you.
Are you coming on to me?
Mup, save me.

I can't answer those things. Plus, it's not my board and I don't control it.
They don't like me either.
This is what I know for sure - I disagree with you. I think you suck.
However, you should get to espouse your opinions. At a minimum, you provoke thought; which brings opinions, which bring mesage board traffic.

I agree.

Maybe. A different view of that sort draws a lot of vitriol here. Sometimes merited, som etimes not.
My best appreciation is the the folks in charge here cater to some. Rules are subjective. But we pretend they're not; or else you're not allowed to post.

Just wondering, do you know this name?

FTR, I've seen your posts; I assumed you knew who Audie Murphy was.
You don't appear dumb at first glance. Of course, I don't know you well.
I laughed.
Nicely done.
Nicely done.
As far as your concerned, consider me Audie Murphy.
I disagree with your opinion.
OTW is a a rabble-rouser.
You got roused.
He should be allowed to express unfavorable opinions.
Don't waste keystrokes telling me what vets think. I'm pretty familiar with that.

re: Will the Tigers make the NCAA tourney?
Posted by Temujin on 1/27/09 at 10:17 pm to DarkWingDuck
I thnk the Tigers make the tournament. They win a game, maybe two. My guess is, that's as far as they go. But college basketball is weird, sometimes a team gets hot and goes far. LSU has the kind of team that could get hot. The lack of a big guy in the middle will be a problem.
