re: Do LSU and Tulane fans still hate eachother?

LSU fans have always been a bit on the delusional side (especially on the Rant) but the notion that LSU's education is on par with Tulane's is just hysterical. Do any of you even read the news? LSU has been slashing its academic programs left and right.
As far as endowments go, do you even know how you measure them? Endowments are investment funds used by the university to operate the school. Endowment size depends on donations from alumni. Tulane's endowment was at $1 billion before the recession and economic downturn. Isn't LSU's at like $30 million? And you have close to 5 times the amount of alumni graduating each year?
You sure are putting those 'Tulane-level' degrees to use aren't ya?

None. They're barely averaging 2,000 in their refurbished ballpark.
Long time lurker here but this type of unnecessary ignorance never ceases to amaze me.

From last year, a year in which Tulane didn't have much to brag about (didn't make a regional), they averaged 3,000 fans a game. I had the pleasure of catching the Rice/Tulane series this past weekend and I was very very impressed with their crowd and stadium. And any time I can get an Abita Amber draft or a Blue Moon draft, I won't ever complain.
I can see ripping on Tulane for their subpar athletic record, but to try and trash their baseball stadium makes wonder if you're just ridiculously insecure or haven't watched a game there. Most likely both.

I don't think anyone is surprised it happened. To be honest I don't think Tulane fans really care. It was only a rivalry when the two schools actually had students from in state. LSU is %90+ in state and Tulane is probably <10% in state.
For the people wondering why there was noone in the stands for the BYU game. If you had been there for the Tulsa beatdown, you can understand why noone came back for the second game. You have to love the reasoning given though. Whoever is responsible for PR at LSU is one hell of a liar. I'll take a billion dollar endowment over a multi million dollar athletic program anyday.
