re: Where we are headed. A socialist state

Those 8 items are how you achieve demoralization and help to create destabilization. Another big event is needed to really set that in motion, however (covid, war, etc). Destabilization makes the nation vulnerable to crisis. With crisis comes sweeping change. A 9th item might be collapsing trust in the existing system, and fomenting that anger.
The smart people have been saying for quite some time that Democrats and Republicans are both leading the nation down this road. Less intelligent people think it's only "the other side."
Had an argument with a blue tsunami surfer the other day. He said it's the government's job to provide for the people. This is the mentality out there. I told him that when the government becomes provider, it does not provide anything, instead it controls everything.
The real insidious part is that many people that would otherwise be in the middle and apolitical will become radicalized by corruption and intentional disorder. They will rebel and blame the system rather than those running it.
All of this will get worse before it gets better.

re: Ohio State is now 6-5 in its last 11 games...

If not for the expanded playoff in 2024, I firmly believe Ryan Day would be an offensive coordinator either in the NFL or at another major college football program. That Michigan loss would have been absolutely impossible for him to have recovered from in another season.
This is true.
Ohio St was undefeated (12-0) and ranked #1 when they met Indiana last year. Lost that one, lost to Miami after a bye in the playoff, and they are 6-3 this year. They have Northwestern, Nebraska, and Michigan left.

Running QB's give Kirby problems. We might see USC upset Georgia.
re: Jennifer Welch issues lame apology after losing sponsors.

Welch is a hateful person. She has all the essential items for evil and if she was ever granted power, she would do evil things. The left has people like her and the right has people like Loomer. The entire spectrum from far left to far right is toxic. What is not appreciated is that far left extremism is more strongly associated with violence but they've done a good job convincing everyone that the violence of most strongly rooted on the right.
