I could have written your post for you, classic expected goalpost moving.
You asked for examples in history...if you think those three countries have smarter, more motivated people with better abilities to govern, I disagree.
I am pro America and believe we can do anything we set our mind to...without whimpering "But..but...but"
"OMG Finland spends 2.8% of their GDP on defense and we spend 3.2% how can you even compare the two?" Do you realize how silly of an argument you make.
"But 11% of Finnish people are from outside their country and we have 14% here...see?"
What a loser attitude with no faith in our nation,
Again, this is why I usually leave it to just reading how y'all think, dishonest arguments are more useless and pointless than boring, but ii really is all 3.
I understand you prefer feelings to facts, it's just the way a lot here are.

As you may not have heard of the exotic nations of Finland, Denmark, and Sweden, or such crazy eras as "now", a debate on this with you and your attempted 'got ya!' is silly.
The OP asked what is good about socialism for me.
You can consider Finland a failed state, I don't know. When I was there , it was a heck of a lot better run than Louisiana, for sure.

I was raised with the kind of patriotism that looked as America as a giant family. You help out those that need it.
Not everyone is gonna be the genius, so you help ‘em with the homework, someone is gonna be a spazz who sucks at sports, so you put them on a position on the field where they can catch the ball easily. You toss some bills to your nephew because his dad (well, my brother) is a frick up, and it aint the kids fault.
The family is stronger when we are all given the tools to do our best.
On my deathbed, I doubt my last thoughts will be “Dang, I paid too much in taxes so those strangers could have food stamps and better child care”
In fact, by doing so, not only do I figure I am doing best by the lord, but giving more folks a chance keeps the nation stronger.
See, neither of us are morons…we just disagree.
I read this board often because I like knowing what people very politically different than me think, I don't bother with debating here, as that would be an incredibly useless waste of time. The lack of respect here to differing opinions is funny, even the way you asked your question is ridiculous.
But I'd punch the clock here once to say we all mainly try to do our best and we all use the tools and limits we have.
