The 20m annual for Kirby Smart is going to hit like crack
read 113 from a Florida poster. Seems insane but I think its going to be insane.
I think the bottom line here is that there really is a sense of "I don't know".
LSU seems confident
Florida seems confident
Ole Miss seems confident.
Despite what CheesesteakTiger tells you, I don't think anyone knows what Kiffin is going to do, and I don't believe Kiffin knows either.

Wanted to add there appears to be a rumor on several Ole Miss boards and specifically the on3 one that there was some kind of meeting between Florida and Sexton/Lane Last week:
SpiritBen (Ole Miss Mod On3)
"It's a legitimate question! To answer directly: No, I don't think Keith even knows. You're correct; no one does. What's more interesting to me is not whether or not he stays or goes; that is impossible to predict. Instead, I would like to know if Kiffin/his representation/on a Zoom call/whatever met with Florida last week, as has been rumored. That would actually tell us something. Lane Kiffin is not going to directly tell anyone anything - and I mean ANYBODY. He doesn't have to, and I'm not sure he even knows what he wants right now anyway."
I have seen this posted elsewhere too

Hes got great connections with Florida, he's got great connections with LSU, and hes got a stable environment at Ole Miss. I really don't know what it will come down to. I will say, though, I have been following the Ole Miss boards for a long, long time, and they are most concerned about Florida, as you can see in the OP.

My thoughts exactly. I know that Ole Miss has Turnkey (search agency) on retainer if things were to go south. IMO, Kiffin has to let them know in the next 7-14 days, otherwise things get messy.
How interesting would it be if Kiffin announced he's taking the LSU/Florida job right after the Egg Bowl? Would they even let him coach the playoffs? How fricking crazy would that scenario be lol
Yeah, I mean we will see how it goes, I wouldn't be majorly confident if I was Ole Miss, but apparently they are so something's got them confident.
If LSU and Florida get into a bidding war (they are/will be), there's a very remote possibility he stays at Ole Miss, IMO. He can say money doesn't matter all he wants, but when a 15-18M (who knows how far it goes) offer shows up on your desk, things change.
Just sharing what I read, man.
Supposedly real good with coaching searches. *shrug*
Ole Miss Mod: "LSU's planned pursuit of Lane Kiffin"

Neal McCready:
"I’m almost reluctant to post this but I’ve got info from a couple of sources that confirms something I’d started hearing over the weekend.
All of the focus around here has been on the threat Florida poses as the Gators target Lane Kiffin. The Ole Miss coach is also, per two sources, the primary target at LSU. I was told earlier today to watch LSU chase three targets in the coming weeks — Kiffin, Missouri coach Eliah Drinkwitz and Louisville coach Jeff Brohm. I was subsequently told LSU has Kiffin atop that list and is prepared to offer him a deal that would make him the highest paid coach in college football.
I am told LSU isn’t particularly confident it can pry Kiffin away from Ole Miss, and the timing of the College Football Playoff is a major problem that could interfere with the Tigers’ pursuit.
Obviously, LSU’s situation has gotten weird with the governor’s involvement, the dispute with Brian Kelly and just the overall weirdness in Baton Rouge right now.
A few years ago, Kiffin, per sources, tried to get LSU’s attention, to no avail. That’s obviously changed.
My thoughts: I still think Florida is a much bigger threat, and I still believe the timing of the CFP — among other things — makes Ole Miss the favorite, but Kiffin has, per sources, indicated he wants to evaluate his options before making a decision. When does that happen? During the open date? After the Egg Bowl? I don’t know. I don’t believe it’s realistic for Kiffin to drag out a college choice until after the CFP, if Ole Miss qualifies."

re: Looks like Kiffin's staying at Ole Miss afterall...

This means absolutely nothing. What do you want them say?
"Hey, our coach might be leaving for LSU or Florida, please stay committed."

SARK?!
I am very interested to see why you think this could be the case.

I'm not going to lie, that whole E60 felt very intentionally designed to reinvent Kiffin after his really controversial past. It definitely worked IMO.
