Probably, I know alcohol does.
Good deal, hope y’all have fun with it.
For co-op we like Pummel Party, Vampire Survivors, Abathor, Streets of Rage, and TMNT Shredder’s Revenge. We are 5 in the house so everyone who wants to can play and most of these games aren’t too pricey.

For a single player I’ll go robotic and say we enjoyed Transformers Devastation (ps4), Armored Core Fires of Rubicon, and Vanquish which was remastered in 2020.

Not sure on your rules with blood and such but my teenager is enjoying Rise of the Ronin. Sekiro Shadows Die Twice is a great game too.

Edit to add that Ghost of Tsushima is amazing I played on PS4 pro and it looked great. My friends tell me the PS5 version is amazing.

I’ve tried finding the cost to make the game, pretty big guesses from 6-40 million over the years. If we take the highest of 40 million it still did remarkably well having sold 5 million by October.

It’s funny they say this since Clair Obscur, a single player game made by ex Ubisoft devs, has made a bunch of money on the traditional game formula and selling the game slightly cheaper.

I’m looking forward to CoD, haven’t played one since MW 2 remake. I like Treyarch campaigns and zombies. This one looks interesting and the slightly sci fi stuff gets my motor going.

Infinite Warfare is my favorite campaign for the modern CoD releases. Those side missions in the fighter/spaceship were awesome, I want a sequel or similar setting someday.

Common era, it’s idiotic, I just retcon it as Christian Era.

Ticks, there are hourly(?) ticks. Over 500 years that’s…well more math than I’m gonna do right now.I should’ve taken the rest of the week off.

Decided to buy the game this evening, figured I’d do it eventually so why wait.

Slowly working my way through the Naples tutorial, lot of information and tooltips, I know I’ll need to play, fail, and play again to get a handle on it but I’m enjoying it so far.

Has a Victoria 3 feeling with resources, inputs, pops and their wanted goods. Estates are still there as are Government Reforms, both of which feel familiar and yet deeper, like the consequences of your choices can lead to catastrophe if not handled well. Though that will probably change when more familiar with the systems.

Map to me looks good. Victoria 3/Imperator with the towns growing as you develop, I like those details. Uses characters like CK and Victoria 3 but definitely leans more Vicky 3 than a RP like CK3.

I have an army…I don’t understand recruiting yet. Appointed a general and admiral, 2 cabinet members, and set some road building. Started some resource buildings too. Set my research which so far seems like an active choice akin to Civ or Victoria rather than EU4s system of mana, development, hit milestones.

Also sliders have returned. I never played EU1 but did play FtG and EU 3 and I do like the slider system. Automation for taxes (and other tasks it seems) exists if you want to set it and forget it.

Performance for me is good so far. Can run speed 5 with few hiccups. I will probably upgrade to 32gb of RAM but was planning that anyway. No CtD, no freezes or stutters yet.

Having fun so far. Will try to answer any questions and look forward to others experiences and tips.

That’s true and not to mention the dlc sometimes dramatically changes the game.

From what I read at the Paradox forum it does seem to be fairly feature rich, I’m sure there will be bugs and patches so not sure if I’m a day one or closer to Christmas.

EU V Release Tuesday

Hadn’t seen anyone discussing Europa Universalis V upcoming release by Paradox so I figured I’d start a thread.

Releases Tuesday, has a beefy minimum and recommended specs, but promises a lot of new and detailed features over EU IV. Seems to blend a bit of Crusader Kings III and Victoria 3 with the meat and potatoes of EU gameplay (diplomacy, war, trade, economy etc.) Set in 1337 until 1821 (I think) you guide a nation through the tumult of early medieval to Enlightenment.

I was never a master of EU IV but have enjoyed my time with it, though the Ottoblob was always annoying. Snowballing by a major power was tedious, as was mid and late game wars.

I know I’m not getting too in depth but if there are any other grand strategy enjoyers out there whether HOI IV, Stellaris, Civ, or EU IV would like to hear your thoughts and opinions on this new strategy game by Paradox for their flagship series. Or any fun alternatives.
Best description I saw was Aliens vs Predators.
This is Helgen... I used to be sweet on a girl from here. I wonder if Velod is still making that mead with juniper berries mixed in... Funny, when I was a boy Imperial walls and towers used to make me feel so safe.…
Well it did end up on wbrz that there are ongoing discussions about his future. Guess it’s leaving forums/twitterverse and hitting “mainstream” news sites.
“He didnt pull the trigger, but he put the dominoes in motion.“

Couldn’t the same be said of Lacy? He didn’t crash but set off a chain of events that led to this tragedy. Why fire and brimstone for one but not the other?
Go to Thai Chili and get the panang curry or any curry and ask for Thai hot. The soups there are good too, Tom Yum.

Or Vindaloo from Swagat.
Have 3 kids, ages from almost 3, 9, and 12, and we read Aesop's fables to all of them and an old book of nursery rhymes, maybe Paulo's? Also Bible stories. Not sure if they stuck but we try to pass the torch. Just glad they still enjoy reading and enjoy when we read to them with all the tech and distractions.
