I've heard it is believed he jumped from Ravenel Bridge and took his life. I don't know that it will hit the news.

I haven’t seen that reported anywhere, where’d you see it

I can't find this now, but I know I saw it in articles when he was still missing.

quote:

I’m aware. From this guys house to the top of the bridge is about 4 miles. That’s a long drunk walk, especially considering it’s a trek up that bridge.

Do we know he was drunk?
Yeah, sorry, that's what I was implying by intentionally jumped off the pier originally.

I do think the bridge makes the most sense with the info I've seen. I think we'll see or hear about footage or witnesses at some point.

I didn't see anywhere where they said where on Ashley he lived.

There's a page out there with minutes from an HOA meeting that lists his address and fiancé's name. I won't share that outright here but, it's there. Found via Google searching.

I still want to know why he went home after 2 a.m. and then left again at that hour. If you're going to go jump off the pier why stop home first?

I'd like to know that too, but I don't. Second guessing?

and the pier at the upper end of the park should have cameras because it's such a popular destination

I have wondered if we'll learn that there is in fact footage from the bridge. From looking at a map, the bridge seemed too far from the island, but I don't know that much about tides.

If he really did live there just go jump in Colonial Lake.

Jump into a lake as a way of taking your own life? I don't think so.
Occam's Razor applied, he either passed out from intoxication and fell into the water or intentionally jumped off the pier near Rainbow Row. Both very tragic.

The pier is a 20 minute walk down Tradd from his house and it's due west of the island on which he was found. Don't get caught up on the specificity of the language in local news articles; he was washed ashore because the tide was going out and the island kept his body from floating further. Call it "on" or "near" the island; it's the same.

His fiancé was out of town. They own a $1.4M home together and she is the Vice President of her father's company. She doesn't need the money. She is undoubtedly the breadwinner.

He's a young anesthesiology resident engaged to a girl from a powerful, high-achieving family. There must be a lot of pressure on him. Add alcohol to the mix, and it's not a good outcome.

May he rest in peace.
