They were mainly Freshmen (Crews/Morgan).
They won a road regional and 2 games from Omaha.

Skip also won 6 SEC Tournaments.

PM never had the luxury of a portal. He actually had to coach and develop players.
LSU won a regional (with a lot of Freshman) and no transfer portal the year prior to Johnson being hired

That record is on Andy Lopez & PM coattails. This team was ranked #2 preseason and has the #1 recruiting class and #1 transfer portal class.
Now let’s see over the next two years how good of a coach he is. Great recruiter but let’s see if CJJ knows how to coach and develop players. The jury is still out.
