They definitely aren't perfect and the mining of materials for the batteries is just awful. They come from parts of the world where life is cheap and corruption ensures regulations aren't followed.
The best thing everyone could do if they actually care about future generations and the world we will leave them, is to cut back on eating meat, specifically cows and pigs. I am not saying go vegan, calm down. But if more people only ate those meats 2-3 times a week, rather than every day, measurable changes could be achieved. Just a little suggestion
