Saw Chad Jones the other day and thought of this.
that you know of?

Example:

Dude I worked with had 30 years in our trade. Other people from other companies would call him for advice. He was a master of his craft. And he was Ned Flanders nice.

He was fired for downloading child porn on his work computer. A lot of it. Over period of a few months.

Even after he was fired most people assumed he had been caught using company materials to help do service work at his church or maybe, at worst, smoking weed.

He still had a decade before he could retire and I don’t think he has worked in that decade.
Had an Old School Guy tell me Louisiana could've been the auto manufacturing capital of the south but Edwin Edwards and other LA politicians wanted backroom deals and they went elsewhere.

Can y'all think of any other Companies/Plant/Refineries that could've been in Louisiana but went elsewhere?
Watching Con-air and I can't get over Nicholas Cage's accent.

Saying someone like Walton Goggins doesnt count because hes from rural Alabama
32% of American Adults completely cut off at least 1 member of their immediate family.

For the 32% on here, what's the reason?
It can be a family situation, addiction, something you can get off your chest, etc.
Guy I went to school with was at Instagram when they sold to Facebook for a billion dollars. Has 3 houses. retired in his 20s.
Cousin was working at Dow last night (not hurt), uncle was on Deepwater Horizon, guy in my fantasy football league had to go to the hospital for a benzene leak last month.

Been working in the plants 10+ years and feel like I'm due for some bad shite to happen.

In case something does happen, who would be the ideal guy around here to just keep on tab?

Who's the big heavy hitter?
Was driving over Black bayou drawbridge this morning heading to Big Lake, Louisiana and remembered how 2 Texas guys died trying to jump an 80 foot drawbridge

Just to piggyback on the divorce horror story thread.
So here's the reasons posters on this board suggest and here's my rebuttals.

quote:

DeSantis is an establishment shill. Trump can't be bought.

Oh yes the guy who put John Bolton, Bill Barr, Steve Mnuchin, Mitch McConnells wife in his cabinet. Such an outsider!

quote:

Trump never lost against Biden. Dems won by illegal voting

Wow, that makes so much sense let's renominate the guy who lost in 2020 and see if they don't do it again in 2024. Stellar thinking!!!

quote:

Trump is a real conservative. DeSantis is a RINO.

Yes, the guy who allowed states to shut down businesses and churches during Covid vs. the 1st guy to put an end to that.

Conclusion:

I don't understand why y'all would vote for Trump over DeSantis when Trump has no shot of winning the general and it's not like the alternative is Mitt Romney. It's a guy who holds 90% of his beliefs and is on paper more conservative. Elections are won by independents and suburbs and DeSantis clearly does better than Trump. And if you don't think so ask yourself why Brian Kemp defeated Stacy Abrams while Herschel Walker lost to Warnock.

End of Rant.

What screams "poorly educated"?

Went to Urgent Care this morning and the person next to me was on the phone trying to convince someone the Earth is flat.

So ballpark, call it a $2-4B company?

That's what I was thinking
Was arguing with a guy about this.

CB&I bought Shaw for $3 Billion in 2012 and Shaw was by all accounts a bigger company than Turner and I think even Fortune 500.

What factors go into valuating a billion contractor company like this?

Any Finance/Economics guys want to chime in.
