Careful who you buy from.
Roman Coin Fraud Arrest
Roman Coin Fraud Arrest
quote:
Richard Beale, the director of a London-based auction house, was arrested in New York City in January on charges relating to his sale of multi-million dollar ancient coins. His arrest has not been previously reported. Beale is the owner and managing director of Roma Numismatics Limited, which claims to be “one of the world’s foremost auction houses for rare and collectible coins,” according to its website.
quote:
Between 2013 and 2014, Vecchi allegedly sold two rare coins to Beale without provenance. One of these is known as an “Eid Mar” coin, referring to an ancient Roman gold coin minted in 42 B.C. to celebrate the assassination of Julius Caesar on March 15 of 44 B.C., commonly referred to as the Ides of March.
I’m new here, but isn’t the answer always

I don’t easily get annoyed, but:
Clip seems to have one focus.
TogerFred seems angry.
Icing1968 is odd
JudeHolden is a know it all but seems to know some things.
HodsonTiger 13 may be hooked up to Chat GPT.
Jamacc2001 has an edge.
Alwaysatgr seems solid.
Proximo seemed strong early but I did not see him much later (although the last 100 pages are kind of a blur).
Chicken, the same.
Those are some that stood out. I wasn’t really looking at names a lot.

Ok. I’ve read the whole thread (or the parts that are readable.)
I still don’t understand the difference between first degree rape and third degree rape, and which one is charged with which.
Also, how come the guys who didn’t have sex with her are charged with rape?

They are claiming those in their 50’s represent the largest percentage of those in treatment programs (in NYC). So one in three seeking treatment are in their 50’s.
Ok. That makes a lot more sense.

in those aged 50–59 years, there was an increase in prevalence from 7.8% to 35.9%
You are telling me that one in three people in their fifties are abusing opioids?

I thought so too. But it’s a volume business, and this will slow sales. Reportedly, their net profit margin is 10%.
If sales slow, volume drops, and more customers just keep going when the drive through line is long, that could get eaten up quickly.

Union Trouble Brewing for Starbucks
Posted by TFSUXASS on 3/24/23 at 8:02 am
quote:
Scores of union Starbucks baristas from across the Pacific Northwest descended on a hotel in Seattle on Wednesday to unveil to Starbucks lawyers a set of proposals that they had been researching and debating for more than six months.
This is what they want:
quote:
A $20 an hour starting wage nationwide. A 37-hour week guarantee for full-time employees. A 100 percent employer-covered health-care plan for full- and part-time workers. Credit card tipping at all stores.
Talks “ground” to a halt after four hours.
quote:
The session lasted close to four hours — much longer than any of the roughly 90 previous bargaining sessions held since last October — though workers did not get a chance to share all of their demands with management before Starbucks’ lawyers packed up to leave.
