I definitely would have liked that but will certainly sacrifice it for the result yesterday

Agree! It’s insanity we only play every 5-6 years and only play in BR 10-12 years. Hopefully that changes soon

Thank You, Baton Rouge

My trip to Baton Rouge has been great. We were welcomed and treated very well. The folks that sat in front of us in 630 were very nice and spoke to us a lot once the game was in hand.

I hate I didn’t get to experience it at its peak but Tiger Stadium is very impressive. The place is massive and is the only stadium I’ve been to in person that rivals Neyland. The concourses are much nicer and roomier than Neyland. If you’ve been to Knoxville you know what I mean.

Heck of a weekend. Thanks for the hospitality.

Saturday Night Dinner

Posted by CuriousVol on 10/4/22 at 2:15 pm
Where can we get a nice dinner/make reservations Saturday night after the game? Or is it too late to make reservations?

Finally Game Week!

Hey guys,
I posted a thread here a couple of months ago and I can find it but when I reply to it it doesn’t bump back to the top so apologies for creating a new one.

I’ve gotten some good suggestions on places to eat and visit but with gametime being 11 am I wanted to come back to get advice on pre game festivities, what I should do, when should we leave our hotel(we are at the embassy on constitution Avenue), when should we get in the stadium, etc.?

Let me know and looking forward to experiencing Death Valley. Just wish it was 230 or night but 11 am does bode well for Tennessee pulling out the win. Winning on the road at an SEC West opponent is tough. I’m certainly nervous and not as confident as most Vols.
Since the game is so early I’d like to go to a bar and hangout to watch football all day. I don’t want to go to a college bar with a bunch of 18-23 year olds. What are some good sports bar recommendations for adults and have a bunch of TVs close by

Hey guys, since we have a bye week I can shift my focus fully to the LSU trip. I personally needed a week off after the stress of the Florida game!

With the announcement of the 11 am kick, that changes plans a bit so a few questions.

How early do the gates open?
When is the tiger walk or other pregame traditions?
How early should I get to campus?
After the game, I’ll probably belly up at a bar and watch football. What are some suggestions? I don’t want a college bar with a rowdy crowd of 18-23 year olds. More of a sports bar to watch a lot of games and chat with folks.

Looking forward to the trip.
As a fan making my first trip to Death Valley I am very disappointed but when I look at it from a W/L perspective I am very happy.

Y’all let me know what a good Louisiana breakfast is

Yeah I definitely won’t be trying to tailgate with the college kids!

As they should! Lol. I’ve actually never heard of piss balloons at LSU but have heard from Vol fans experiencing that in Gainesville.

I’m not a fighter and people can say whatever they want to me all in good fun. It doesn’t bother me but I might turn into a fighter real quick if someone throws a piss balloon at me lol

Should we rent a car then?

I appreciate all the responses! I’ve jotted down some restaurants for lunch and dinner Friday but Saturday if fans are as welcoming as y’all say say I’ll probably head to the store, get a cooler and some beer and tailgate hop.

I’ll check back in closer to game time as well!

Absolutely. What year did you go to Knoxville?

I usually leave extraordinarily early for everything so I’ll probably go down toward the stadium as soon as we wake up. Lol.
