I have a really good feeling about Kate Koval. I watched her game against Texas. Her defense was great, she ended the game with 5 blocks and Texas only scored 4 points in the paint in the first half. She was a major reason why ND won that game. Her offense suffered against tall bigs like Sedona Prince and Kyla Oldacre, but from what I saw in the game against Texas she mostly shot jump shots and never got the ball when she had great positioning on the block.
In the first 11 games, while Maddy Westfield was out for an injury, Kate Koval averaged 28.2mins 8.2ppg 7.9rbs 3.4blks 43fg%. This was against teams like USC, Texas, UConn, TCU, Utah, and Virginia.

I expect her to do better. I think she played well with the limited number of minutes she averaged on the year. I worked out some rough estimates of what she could have done if she played more, and I compared to Lauren Betts. Ultimately it will depend on ADR to put in the work though.
If ADR averaged 28 minutes as a freshman, this could have been her stats:
11.8ppg 8.8rb 3.3orb 5.5drb 0.5ast 1stl 2blk 2to 54.1fg% 57ft%
My estimation of Lauren Betts if she averaged 27 minutes her freshman year:
16.5ppg 9.8rb 3.6orb 6.2drb 1.4ast 0.6stl 2.5blk 1.4to 60.2fg% 56.7ft%
Her actual Sophomore stats with 27.1 minutes:
14.9ppg 9.3rb 3.7orb 5.6drb 1ast 0.4stl 2blk 2.1to 64.3fg 61ft%
