Agree - that is an ND issue and the Administration is not willing to fully commit to football excellence

Kelly Year 1

CBK seems to have the team progressing faster than most people thought. Only 1 rough game so far against a really good TN team.

Full disclosure, I am an ND alum and preferred that he stayed at ND, while some wanted him gone for failing to win the big games vs AL, UGA, Clemson... I am actually rooting for him and the Tigers.

What are your thoughts on the Alabama game? From an outsiders perspective, it looks winnable.

Special Teams

Kelly never devoted enough time to special teams when he was at ND. That area will continue to suck until he spends more practice time on it and finds a replacement for Polian.
Here is mine:

Why is he publicly throwing players under the bus with his "player execution" comments?
Yes. He'll need two years to get his system and players in place. There will be some tough games over the next 2 years.

Brian Kelly Success At LSU

Hi Folks - this is my first post here. Full disclosure; I am a Notre Dame alum. I have a good friend who is an LSU alum and have been to a few games in Baton Rouge with him. (BTW - best tailgating in college football. No where else compares. I've been to quite a few around the country).

I was disappointed to see Brian Kelly leave ND. Unlike many of our fans, I don't hold a grudge and hope to see him win a championship at LSU. In general, I thought the ND fanbase was a little hard on him. I do think he took ND to its current ceiling. I'm hoping that ceiling can get higher in the future.

He's a solid coach that makes good decisions down the stretch in tight games we should win (especially in the later years). I don't think he had the same talent level as AL, UGA, Clemson, and Ohio State, but he did well with the talent level he was able to recruit.

Overall, I am probably one of the few alum/fans of ND that thinks he will perform well at LSU and actually win a title. I'll be rooting for him. I'll be planning on attending some games over the next few years with my friend.

My only advice is to stick with him, because there will be some tough times in year 1 and 2 as he gets his system and players in place.
