Agreed. I could see taking the LSU job but this one doesn’t make any sense.

Appears OU was played as well. This came out of nowhere I can say as an OU fan this has left people speechless.

Honestly I have no idea. I sat around earlier thinking of who some potential candidates would be and that list just seems small with some of the announced extensions out there now. Maybe they promote Grinch but just really not sure I know people bring up Heupel but I’m pretty sure there’s some bad blood there still.

Most of the discussion about it has basically just been from other posters. I think it’ll be an interesting next couple of days especially if they lose on Saturday.

The site mods are basically brushing it off like he’s not leaving right now. That obviously could change but that’s still their stance as of right now from what I’ve read.
I think it’s due to multiple things. The offensive line has been really inconsistent pretty much all year long they’ve had their moments they play well but their bad has been really bad. Against Iowa St the wr’s had a pretty rough day with drops and Williams just missed them at times too. Riley’s play calling has also been a little confusing it seems like he gives up on the run too quick but sometimes I wonder if that’s due to the inconsistency from the offensive line.

Yeah I believe that was a key reason why you saw Nelson visit OU this past weekend. As far as what current players have been told my buddy asked the guy he knows on the team and they were just told to focus on winning football games so take that FWIW.

Pretty much the same I’ve heard from listening to sports radio that covers OU and reading on the boards. Nobody on the OU side seems to be concerned at all. A friend of mine knows a recruit and current player and said his mom has even been told by Lincoln himself that he’s not leaving. Which again what’s he really supposed to say to them but at the same time Lincoln lying to a recruit would go against what he’s about from everything that’s even been said about him.

Busted…. Lol. It’s actually not a lie have a ton of family that’s LSU fans, some Arkansas and some OU and OSU. It’s definitely what’s been said on an OU board but again he could just be telling them that but it goes against what’s always been said about Lincoln when it goes to him building relationships with parents. I have no ill will toward LSU at all think Lincoln would be great with the recruiting he can do there. It would leave a ton of question marks around the OU program if he did leave I don’t think just finding someone to replace him will be as simple as some make it seem.
My first post here definitely glad to be here but take this as you will. Have a sibling that’s a big OU fan and a member on quite a few of their boards that says there’s a report out on one of the OU boards that he’s told a recruit and their mom he’s not leaving and there is nothing to worry about. First I’ve heard of him actually denying it to someone but could just be him saying that though too so who really knows. He said it wouldn’t really fit what Riley is known for when it comes to relationships with parents if he was in fact lying to them. I’m still of the opinion it’s 50/50 that he ends up here at LSU would love to have him thats for sure.
