Just a reminder that Jimbo recruited and had available on the team Marcel Reed (8-0 at A&M), Haynes King (8-0 at GT) and Conner Weigman (7-1 at UofH).
He had talent, but you needed a doctorate in west coastology to run it along with all of the other players being on the same page in their thesis.

How much money does it take to leave players you evaluated and recruited for those that you didn't? How much to leave administration you know for one you don't?
LSU is a great job - but it's not risk proof (looking at the time prior to Saban as an example). Looking around - fit may mean more than anything. Look at Florida, Texas, Miami, Nebraska, Michigan (except this year). Top jobs that have had loosing coaches.
Riley has won alot of games in the big12. He may or may not win in the SEC...but he does know who he'll play with at OU. How much money to take that chance?
