When I bought a boat from Texas, I had to fill out the tax cert form listed above. Since Texas had higher taxes than the 4.5% in LA, I did not have to pay any tax. That was straight from school board tax office in Calcasieu parish. They said I would have owed any difference if the taxes in the other state was lower. I still had to have that form filled out to get it registered in LA. This was 2016 time frame.

My dad, mid 60s, had one last thanksgiving. Used a walker for about a week or so. Not sure how long full recovery took, but I'd say he was probably 80% at a month or so. He said very minimal pain, but he could barely walk before the replacement.
11500/9200 champion. Run for 22 days straight, only turned off to fuel and change oil. No issues, I did put a blower fan on the genset to keep it cool in this heat. Also had a canopy over it to keep sun and weather off.
There were at least 4 gas stations open 2 days after landfall between N Lake Charles, Moss Bluff, and Westlake. Some had most were cash only for a few days, but then after that, most had credit card by cell or satellite service. Rouses in Moss Bluff was open the day after landfall accepting credit cards.

Within a week, you could almost get anything you needed locally. Home Depot and Lowe's were accepting online orders shipped to store.
