The 20-30 day chart looks like a "head and shoulders" pattern.
Getting In and Where To Go?
Posted by VOL IN on 3/7/25 at 2:53 pm
Smart people on here so would like an opinion.
My wife and I have been blessed and put ourselves in a good position. Have some savings sitting in a savings account earning 5% but I have the itch to enter into something broad and try to earn double that amount. Is this smart or just greed?
Wife and I are 46 with 4 daughters. My mom lives with us. Dream home paid off (built in 18). First home paid off and rented and additional rent house that is paid off. Bought third rental about a year ago that is financed but rent covers payment. Own half of a lake home that is paid off. Our imaginary money in 401 and Roths just crossed 1 mil.
Have a Schwab account (some play money in the playfull company SLI) so I have been looking at SCHG as a possibility. Thoughts on nice broad/conservative options?
Also if I take the leap, lump sum DCA or hybrid?
Thanks for you time.

Well with a number like 44.6% you know it was well thought out. Otherwise you would just throw a crazy number like 45% out there.

I added 3000 yesterday. What has given me a little bit of solace is I looked at the charts of most of the major lithium players over the last month. SLI has tracked with them with consistency so it looks like a downward sector trend. Also SLI has not been the worst of the bunch over that time.
SLI -19%
LIT -15%
LAC-17%
PLL-26%
LTHM-25%
ALB-23%
SLI -19%
LIT -15%
LAC-17%
PLL-26%
LTHM-25%

Unfortunately no. This headline just came across my news feed and I tried to find another article to gain no more insight but came up short. As a SLIarian, I don’t know what to think about this development.

Any short term belief that the move from Tuesday 10-26 to Friday 10-29 might mean the initial earning report is trying to put on the back page a little?
Also a side note, I live near Ruston LA and I saw a video of the Ruston Community Tennis Association. The video displayed all of the local business that sponsored the event and I had to do a double take as the last banner was no other than an SLI banner. Had the name Bruce Seitz and a phone number. I thought I was getting SLI drunk but it was real.

I've been lurking here for a while and this is my first post. I'm from north LA and actually work at LA TECH so its really cool to see some Tech alumni associated with this project.
I started following at about $0.80 and it took a while to get the nerve to jump. Once I jumped I have been coaxing money from my wife up until last week when we went VOL IN with our savings(we both are doing well for retirement so this is not a retirement investment).
We now have 16446 shares and have made a couple swing trades along to way to pick up a few more shares.
Due to the people on this thread I even invested some of my mother's money and she has 4000+ shares.
Thanks for all the information and cool comradery.
