Your club started its bad run of form about the same time that Harry was linked to the England job. With Roy Hodgson now the potential candidate, it could remove some of the distraction from Spurs.
The other problem you have is a club with several key players who will likely transfer in the summer - Modric, Bale, etc and several transfers who have not been playing well of late - Parker, Adebayor, Saha. Spurs looks like a team that has lost focus, but maybe a soft schedule at the end of the season is enough to get you to 4th.

Well, it was just QPR, who is likely to get relegated. But, being a west London club, and with the controversy involving Terry and Ferdinand, it was more spirited than normal. Most of us were shocked that Chelsea could score 4 goals in the first 25 minutes with the constant rain that occurred in the first half.
I live in London (expat assignment) about 10 minutes from the stadium and have been fortunate to attend most of the games this year. I was at the same one you mention, when that Mexican (his name is not worth mentioning) scored the final goal to give Manu the tie after Howard Webb gave them their first 2 goals.
Yes, I am hoping we finish 4th so that there is less pressure on Chelsea in CL final. The Prem League season ends the week before the CL final. So, Chelsea will know going into the match whether it is a must win for CL next year. (Chelsea has qualified for the CL every year that is has existed.)
If we we were to finish 5th, it would be awesome if Spurs finished 4th and we won the CL and bumped them from the 4th EPL Champions League slot.

It is "He scores when wants, he scores when wants, Fernando Torres he scores when he wants." :violin: :nana:

I was at the match today and it was fricking awesome. He is back! Just in time for the most important part of the season.
Match on Wednesday is huge. If Chelsea does not win the Champions League Title against Bayern, they must finish fourth to qualify for next year's Champions League. They must win Wednesday against Newcastle to have any chance of finishing 4th in the table.

I agree with Alejandro. Great odds for this game. Obama should be 3 trillion with the Chinese and our debt rating returns to AAA. :nana:

Did he embarass you with how he conducted business with one your contacts? Or was this just a reaction to a post a year ago on a message board? Come on man! :banghead:
I read your posts often on the Money Talk board and enjoy them. Just think people to need to have a little perspective on this.

I know Alejandro and can speak to his character. Sometimes we post things on a message board, but it doesn't mean we would actually do them.
If you have never been laid off, then you don't know what it is like. He was doing well with his job one day, then is laid off the next day unexpectedly due to his company being sold. It's not like he got fired for poor performance. He was a good performer as evidenced by his tenure with the company and the promotions that he received.
You guys taking shots at him can frick off. :doublebird: If you don't like his posts about the Saints or LSU, then fine. But, he is legitimately asking for help from folks on the board. Show a little respect. If only you were in the same situation.

If you live in Houston, you should be happy about exposure to local talent - see Russell Shepard, Joseph Addai, etc. And it's closer for you to go the game than to Baton Rouge. Trade in your jambalaya and gumbo one week for Texas Barbecue and Fajitas.
