No, they didn't. See, the Jewish people didn't make threats, they were hated just for being Jewish. They served as convenient scapegoats. There is nobody in this story who is being scapegoated for things they did not do. Nor is anyone being denied the right to do something they already had the right to do.

This is the line of demarcation in identifying oneself as having gone to university or not. Try telling your history or economics professor that you aren't going to call him or her 'Doctor' and see what that gets you.
