He needs to talk about the elephant in the room. Trust me, it's no fun to talk about but if not then he will be left to come up with the reasons why on his own. There's a reason, whether she's cheating or emotionally disconnected, but it needs to be discussed. And if the problem is him, he has a choice to fix it and vice versa.
It's not rocket science. And as someone said below a sexless marriage is doomed. It's a big love language for some.

Thinking about a beach trip to South Padre Island, TX when all this corona crap is over. How are the beaches/sand compared to Florida?
