Well well well... we meet again LSU (and this time we’ve got a chance!).

Excellent write up on the Aggies. Couldn’t have summed up our team better myself. Hoping this is a good game and no one gets injured. I was in BR for the football game this year and had very pleasant interactions with LSU fans/alumni. Wishing you guys the best this season (other than a loss tomorrow)!

They had told me that occasionally you will get some stars showing up to Tiger Stadium.

They did not mention that they literally meant our local solar system star would be sitting 12 inches over my head at 11 in the morning. Saw a couple gals get carted away for heat exhaustion.

Belated Thank You!

Wanted to thank y'all for the great tips on food and atmosphere for the Utah State game. My father, brother, and I had a great time. We went to The Chimes the night before the game and loved it. We were also treated with a lot of southern hospitality. I am used to it, living in Houston, but my father and brother commented several times saying "folks down here are just genuinely nicer than on the west coast."

So thanks, Tigers. Sorry we couldn't give you a better game! I thought we were headed for at least three quarters of interesting football after that initial interception. Burrow didn't make many mistakes after that point. Wishing y'all all the success in the world going forward.

Also thought it was cool that our coaches swapped more scouting/game notes afterwards (I'm sure y'all know there is a lot of coaching history between the staffs) to help each other out down the road.

Geaux Tigers, Go Aggies!
Oh, it's noticeable. I would say LSU has the third largest fanbase in Houston right after Texas and TAMU. I can't think of any other team that has a stronger presence.

For reference, there are about 1,000-1,200 USU alumni in the Greater Houston metroplex. So yeah, a little smaller....
I am a Utah State Aggie living in Texas. I've got no love for the College Station Aggies.
Good morning, y'all. I will be traveling from Houston to Baton Rouge and hoping to get the full LSU experience, despite the early kickoff. I have heard a bunch of things from friends that are LSU alumni, but I thought I'd bring it to the forum.

Am I really going to be invited into a tailgate as a visiting fan? Are LSU fans receptive to that sort of thing if I strike up a conversation? I am generally pretty agreeable as a human being and I do have a realistic expectation for this game (we win by 35, you guys shut down your football program in response). Is there a specific tailgate that you would recommend?

I've also heard that watching the band come down the hill is worth the time. Anything else you'd recommend?
Coach O has also said nice things about our QB. Pretty great to see the respect that two coaches can have for an opponent. I would trust my kids to play for either Coach A or Coach O, and the way they conduct themselves when discussing opponents is a big part of that.
Love's play has definitely been a concern for us! He threw three of those picks against Wake Forest where it looked like he was forcing the action. The other two were against CSU this last week. CSU knew it was coming both times, and our receiver shares some of the blame for not coming back to the ball. He likes to wait on that out route so he can turn to the boundary and try to leave the CB behind.

Having said all that, Love needs to be better if we are going to be in this game whatsoever. I don't expect us to win (I am actually going to be in attendance and can't wait to experience Death Valley), but if Love throws a couple picks it will be a long day.

Our defense has been pleasantly surprising, though. Despite a comedy of errors (4 turnovers and a blocked punt in nasty weather) against CSU, they only allowed 17 points and held them to a FG in the second half.

Can't wait to see Tiger Stadium in action! Disappointed in the 11 AM kickoff though!
