I know that he's struggled some recently, but could it be time to give Schmidt a taste of Omaha on a short leash. I wouldn't use AE until Thursday at the earliest.

Great reply........this was exactly what I had on my mind when I initiated it. Also, a very good movie.
Too many negative waves

After skimming through several of the baseball topics, I've come to the conclusion that some people just desire to be negative. I also think that many of these negative thinkers have a football mentality when it comes to baseball. Baseball is a game where a good hitter fails about 70% time and a good pitcher gives up 3 or 4 runs very 9 innings. Please take a moment to listen to CJJ talk about individual player's character, playing for the team instead of one's self, and succeeding in life as well as on the playing field. The bottom line here is that CJJ is a winner both on and off the field. Cut him loose and see how quickly a top 10 team scoops him up. How would you feel right now if Texas, Tennessee, or Vandy were your team of choice? Oh yea, how would you feel if you were a TAMU fan and didn't even make it to the big dance. Let's focus on the positive. We're going to Omaha again!

Yes, there were many plays that could have changed the outcome today. I'm more patient with the player's mistakes than I am with the ones the coaches make. These kids are learning.....the coaches are supposed to be better than that.

Maybe it does and maybe it doesn't.....one thing for certain, it didn't work the way CPM played it.
Just Maybe

Yesterday I posted this topic "Anyone else wondering why Mainieri use Fontenot in the 9th inning last night? It could come back to haunt him." Well maybe.....just maybe if Fontenot hadn't pitched Friday night he might had been sharper today. Now all you CPM defenders can have your field day criticizing this post but sometimes doing the right thing leads to better results.

I’d guess Peterson or Beck tonight.

Anyone else wondering why Maneri use Fontenot in the 9th inning last night? It could come back to haunt him.
